Gathering Place The A Small Venue for Special Events

I planned a wedding at the Gathering Place 9 mos prior to my special day. 5 1/2 mos before it was to take place, I had to cancel the reservation. I tried to get a hold of the owner, Kim numerous times, but she would not respond to my request to move the date or request a refund. Finally, I tried again just prior to the planned date asking where my money had gone, and she replied that she was not able to re-rent the place, and therefore had kept my money and made no offer of any refund what-so-ever. She also stated that she had returned my damage deposit, but the check never arrived. This place is a RIP OFF. Buyer BEWARE!

The Gathering Place is very cute and cozy. It is beautiful inside and out! Unlike most venues I have seen, it has very few restrictions and is great for many events! No caterers required. Very clean, ample space and great looking! It has a great location and is very afforadble as well! Kim the owner is sweet as a bug and a great lady to deal with! I actually used to live right next door to this place. So I got to see many different types of events and they turned out great! :) Definately worth taking a look at!
