A wonderful, life affirming piece of work. You don’t shy away from difficult subjects, your writing is clear, no matter how complex the information you’re communicating, and you cover the whole of the human experience. Incredible! Best of all, of course, are the real-life stories you tell. Whether humorous or harrowing, they cement for us the lesson of each chapter. I’ve always suspected that our goose bumps were showing us the way of our true selves. Your fine book has helped me confirm that belief. You wonderfully display your healing in the beautiful clarity and great honesty of your writing. You laid yourself bare! For the reader, this terrifically underscores your believability. You become not so different from the reader. You’re a fellow traveler of life’s rough and rocky road who’s managed to pick up a few things that we’d be wise to adopt, ourselves. I look forward to Book Two.

Just finished Sue Albright's book and it reminded me that the life lessons we all have had, can be taken two ways...as a bitter pill or a spoonful of sugar. Over and over, while reading about the obstacles along her life journey thus far, well, it gave me goose bumps. Thank you Sue, for being that literal "open book" and I for one, will remind myself daily to look out for the signs I might have missed otherwise, and to continue to nurture my Inner Child. This is a wonderful; inspirational book that motivates the reader to reflect on who they are on the inside and reflect on the life experiences that have pointed them in that direction. This book is a pleasure to read and one that should be kept around to read again and again. The chapters are short, enlightening and each one seems to spark you, the reader, to reflect on an aspect of your own life. Sue shares some of her own life experiences as well as referring to hypothetical situations as examples to spur your thinking and reflection. Sue encourages the reader to slow down and follow their own inner feelings that create “goose bumps”. She makes you think about your own actions and words and how they impact the lives of others around you. The book’s title fits perfectly as it gave me goose bumps while reading and reflecting. This is truly an enjoyable book for any and all people in need of a real person’s words of enlightenment. Thanks, Sue!!
