Gone Local

I discovered this place two summers ago when we were out visiting the Hamptons and it is SO much fun. It has some of the coolest things you've ever seen. Alot of things that are made by local artists and crafters but not cutsy stuff, really cool, funky and beautiful stuff. There is SO much in there to look at, you could spend a whole weekend and still you probably wouldn't get to see everything! They also get new stuff in every week, so it is always changing. Things are priced really well too for the Hamptons. I am used to paying crazy high prices for everything when we go out there, but their prices are really reasonable. I telling you, I LOVE this place the owner of the store is actually LOCAL, too, can you believe that one! I didn't think ANYONE out there was really local. She was always very helpful and she is SO fun! My kids love her and it's the first place they want to go when we go out to the beach house. The whole family gives this place two thumbs up

Great store, great workers, and great merchandise! It's getting a little crowded in there with too much stuff, but i guess that's alright- just more for me to look at! Thank you and I'll be back!

I just have to say that when i was shopping around Amagansett last summer, i went in to a few stores looking for toys or clothes or items for my daughter who was 2. Most of the stores that i went to, including stores that sold "outdoorsy" things, did not have anything i was looking for. When i asked where i could find these items, those stores claimed Bridgehampton was probably the closest place. However, i walked into Gone Local, who had everything that i was looking for. i talked to the owner and told her and she that had happened before! Go into Gone Local because not only are they helpful, but they actually will tell you to go into the local stores, and not all the way to Bridgehampton! I will never shop in those other, selfish stores again! All my money goes to Gone Local!

Let me just tell you that this may just have become my new favorite store on the South Fork. There is not enough space for me to write how much i truly love this place! Last year, i brought my in-laws, siblings, and children all in to buy things! I'm probably the customer who has spent the most buying knick knacks. My kids love the toys-- there is never a summer that goes by that we dont buy them toys at Gone Local. Thank you and look forward to summer 2010!

THIS PLACE ROCKS!! THEY HAVE ALL KINDS OF STUFF THAT I LOVE! THE PRICES SEEM TO BE PRETTY LOW FOR THE HAMPTONS. CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK.THE OWNER IS REAL NICE AND TOLD US ALOT OF THINGS WE DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT EAST HAMPTON. GREAT EXPERIENCE.

this is a quaint little store in the heart of amagansett. i love to look in the windows and window shop! i bring my guests in all the time. i love your location and the quality of gifts that Gone Local provides. it isn't just your regular tacky souvenirs that most people bring home like ugly shirts, keychains, mugs with stupid sayings, shot glasses, and other inappropriate things. please continue to sell what you're selling now. way better than it was 3-4 years ago. thanks a million for getting rid of that ugly gallery. no one buys expensive art anymore. i love your store, once again. see you around!

wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! i came around christmas and not only did they help me find a perfect gift, they even wrapped it for free! this is what shopping should always be like. NOT TO BE MISSED IF YOU ARE COMING OUT TO AMAGANSETT!!! 10+ STARS! i wish they had a website where they could order things though, i would really love to order soaps and things that i have to wait for summer to get! please consider this! see you next summer!

This store is what was lacking in East Hampton and it's surrounding areas. They've got it all!! Highly recommended.
