Hagens of Blaine

I have been dealing with Hagans for about 25 years and admit i did not like the $12.00 annual fee as it was a first this year. All things considered they are the best game in town and still the least costly. Friendly, bright and honest people that are very helpful and thoughtful. You are dealing with dedicated people and the owner is there working right beside them as opposed to many places where someone is hired at the minimum wage and staff turn over is high. The new owners are self combusting under the strain of increased business with a solid Canadian dollar. If in the customer service industry it's imperative you understand what that means and not being rude. Wasn't aware of their new $12 annual fee for 2011, even tho I've had an account for 10 years, until I arrived to pick up some packages. Asked why we weren't emailed with the new fee and was told they couldn't personally email 17000 people. Hmm wonder how all the other companies deluging my inbox are able to?

Great little company .. good service. Close to the border, great hours. However, that said, they are going to loose business in the 2011 year by raising the rate of pickup per package and .. and they are charging a $12 per year fee to use the service. I'll be changing to another company just down the road from them that is starting up in 2011.. cost is $3 per item, no phone call but no annual service fee either. So long Hagans . it's been a blast.

As of January, there's an annual fee of $12 to ship packages to Hagens. This is on top of the $2.50 charge (up from $2.00) per parcel. For somebody like me who only orders a few packages a year, this is a deal-breaker. I'll be going with a competitor in the future.

I LOVE these guys! I discovered them while googling PO boxes for packages in the States (I'm from White Rock, BC) and all the reviews were good so I gave them a call and asked them how it works. The staff were friendly and helpful so I decided to give it a try. Not only did I save $30 on shipping for an $80 order, but it was so easy. The staff are helpful and very friendly and they're only 5 mins south of the Border. It was great. I reccomend Hagen's to ALL Canadians who export items from the States. The staff are friendly, the system is easy, they're close to the border and you save money! How can you go wrong!?

They called to let me know my parcel was there and for very little at their end i saved a lot on the Canadian price and the shipping which alone was about 3 times the rate to Hagens.

Their service is great and price is reasonable, good thing is they are near border and it is convenient for canadians to get things shipped there and do not need to pay international shipping charges.

The amount of money I save by using these guys is spectacular. No UPS brokerage fees, no inflated shipping costs to ship to Canada. Just a couple bucks to Hagens. I've used them for the last five years and have never had a problem. I've even shipped a wine fridge and a range top microwave/fan thingy and never had any issues with these guys. Top notch service, friendly and nice, and I love that they're open late Wednesdays now too.

Love this service--since many american online shops do not send directly to Canada. I also wish Hagens would open on Sundays for pick ups. Many of us cross border clients can only get to Blaine on the weekends.

i agree with the other reviewer. this business is safe and easy to use, with great customer service. my only complaint would be about the hours also. it's often hard to make it down there from across the border in time to beat their closing... and being open on sundays would greatly improve their services.
