If you are looking for a fancy salon, this is not your place. The space looks a bit run down, it's not a store front so you have to climb up the stairs and find it. Because of the how great your hair looks afterwards, there is a long wait. I know we all hate waiting but it was well worth it. I signed up, they washed my hair and put rollers on, and did my time under the hair dryer. They did do the flat iron. I wanted my hair straight, and it came out silky smooth and super shiny. The girl next to me was getting curls, and they did it with the same style thin flatiron my stylist was using to straighten my hair. I saw Ramirez give someone a cut and it looked amazing. He has his own way of doing things, but my hair lasted a week straight, without anything on, and without wrapping it at night (Since it was my first time going there I wanted to see how long it would last). There is no customer service anywhere uptown, but that is the nature of the beast. Reasonable price.

I no longer have permed hair so it's definitely a challenge. They do not stress me to perm my hair and when they are finished with me, my hair is silky and just beautiful. I can have straight or curly....whatever I decide and it last!!! Yes, the wait is very long and the space is cramped but the finished product is amazing. Glory styles my hair for me and she does such a fantastic job!!!!

I simply love the way they do my hair. I go to other more expensive hair salons and they cant do it like he can ;-)... The only thing is that they take too long so be prepared to wait for hours! Overall.. i thank ramirez for what he's done with my hair.

This is the best, I repeat, THE best hair salon in the Washington Heights/Inwood area. The price is extremely reasonable considering that the products used are superb and the stylists are well educated in hair textures and what's best for each person. Some reviewers complained about a lack of professionalism, and quite honestly I've never experienced anything but professional. The main stylist Ramirez is a genius with his scissors and anyone who sits in that chair will be pleasantly amazed. You won't regret giving this salon a visit!

This is the best salon out there, they are very nice and they do everything u tell them you want and they give you options as well. Ramirez and his team changed my hair. it was falling and had a lot of split ends and i wish you guys can see my hair now is long healthy n split ends free every girls' dream. so i do recommend for you to go to this salon and tell them ana divanna's friend sent you. :-)

Dont know if im being too generous in giving this Hair Salon 3 Stars..There indeed is potential, the flat iron works wonders If you want that thin, straight white girl hair look,,which works. However it seems like flat ironing is what they specialize in,,have yet to see a client comeout with volumonous bouncy hair.,,
But my biggest concern about this hair salon is that they lack a sense of satisfying what you want. I am open for suggestions, but if i want my hair blonde dont give me RED!..If i want to trim, dont give me a BOB!..they're reasoning is that they know best,,,,when in reality its totally the other way around...

Albeit a bit over priced, I had THE best experience at this salon. All the stylists were very cordial and welcoming. They are open late, which makes it perfect for getting your hair done post office hours. My hair is naturally ridiculously curly (tight spiral ringlets) and they were able to get it silky straight without pulls, tangles, pain, or burns! It didn't curl or wave when I walked down the street and lasted the entire week.

Do not ever go to this salon. They are rude, expensive and they think they know everything. Not to mention that they take forever. THey want to do whatever they want with your OWN hair. Trust me don't go there!!!!! There are way better salons in the neighborhood. They are cheaper, experienced and they do a hell of a better job.!!!!!!!

they told me that they cut hair when its blow dryed. so i went with the flow. they continued doing my hair with the rollers. i did my time in the dryer. then they straighted flat ironing my hair. i was told that the "professional " stylist was doing someones hair dye. i was waiting for about 20 mins with my hair done , flat ironed and everything and he didnt come to do my hair cut.he was to busy .he could at least told me that he was doing someones hair and he then will do mines BUT HE DID NOT. this shows that this salon has bad service.then I was so pissed so i left the salon. some of the girls here has a bit of attitude. the people here are not professional some of the workers here are not professional and dont have certifed diploma of hair salons to work there. the girl that did my flat iron was about 15 years old and she burned me. dont go to this hair salon it is one of the worst hair salons i been to. they are expensive for no reason.
