Before you reach retirement age, there are two types of Social Security benefits that you can apply for. One is Social Security Disability. In order to qualify, you are required to pay into Social Security for 5 out of the last 10 years of your disability, your condition must be disabling for 12 months or longer and you must have proof of your diagnoses from a current physician. The second claim is Supplemental Security Income. This is a welfare based program, and you may not have income over $980.00 per month or assets over $3,000.00. You also must be found disabled to qualify.
If you feel that you meet these requirements, please contact my office at (877)579-6800, and we will discuss your claim further. Thank you for contacting us!
