Jung Suwon Martial Art Academy

As a single mom(w/ handicap- polio) my endless worries were... is my son going to make it through this society? With peer pressure, drugs, gangster, bullies, bad attitude and much more. As parents we wish wish for our kids to not be victim(s) from all these. Unfortunately these are today's realities. I am one believer that through Jung SuWon Martial is absolutely an investment any parents can not afford to not put your time & energy or effort to visit the school. My son was 4 when he started training he's now 21 yrs old. Training in JSW made my dreams/wish comes true for my son because the result is more than what I asked for. As a single parent I truly feel that if /when anything happen to me, I have left the wealth for my son. Not money or material things but his strong roots of knowing who he is. The tangible things can be taken away /disappear but absolutely NOT his foundation of FUCOS, DISCIPLINED, PERSERVERANCE in LIFE and most of all his SELF WORTH & CONFIDENCE! Jung Su!

Jung SuWon is the best. Not only has it passed my boundaries of knowing what I can do physically but also mentally. Having a bad day? Come to class and you'll come out feeling better. I joined in Dec. of 2009 and my husband in May of 2010 and we are enjoying every minute of it. Dr. Tae Yun Kim and her staff are incredible. JungSu !!

I've been a student here for 18 years and this is a GREAT place! I get my body, mind and spirit worked out. Not only that, I meet people that share the same interests. There are classes for all ages. This is a traditional martial art that delivers more than just physical results.

How many times have you said “ I wish I could get in shape or I wish I could have more confidence. Well, stop wishing and start doing! Jung SuWon is not only Tae Kwon Do, but it’s a lifestyle that can change your life. It did for my daughter and I. My daughter started training 2 years ago and she is a confident 8 year old who believes she is capable of anything. Guess what? She is. I was given a great opportunity and started training along side my daughter in January of this year. I feel GREAT! My confidence is up. Fears have been pushed to the side. I can’t say enough about Dr. Tae Yun Kim’s teachings and ability. She is a great motivator and a powerhouse! Thank you Dr. Kim! Jung Su!

Jung SuWon is a traditional martial art that focuses on teaching children and adults about how to live their lives in the best possible way, with respect, honor and discipline. I trained at several other martial art schools before coming to Jung SuWon & I can say definitively that Jung SuWon offers not only the best martial art instruction, but the best environment for teaching kids how to be respectful and disciplined. If you have a child over age 3 – get them off video games - they should be enrolled here! Jung SuWon has a great program for kids. Jung SuWon teaches children self confidence, focus, self-discipline and how to set and achieve goals. If you are an adult - Jung SuWon is the best place to learn how to de-stress, lose weight, gain strength, and be more confident (if you need confidence) A friend of mine started training before I did and I used to come watch classes and testings for two years before I started training myself. I am so glad I did! The founder, Great Grandmaster Dr. Tae Yun Kim, is an incredible, inspiring teacher. Her story, of overcoming 5000 years of Korean and martial arts culture to become the first female black belt in Tae Kwon Do, really inspired me. Jung SuWon is built on Great Grandmaster Kim's philosophy, He Can Do, She Can Do, Why Not Me?!

Jung Suwon has the best training for both kids and adults, even people in their 70's. They take all ages, and they help you improve no matter what your physical condition when you start training. There is even 1 black belt instructor in a wheelchair! Training has greatly improved my self-confidence as well as reduced my stress. In addition, it is fun! Every class is different, and somehow I always have more energy after class than I do before class. Training has given me the confidence to try new things, which has improved both my personal life and my work. On top of all this, training has improved my balance and coordination with everything else I do. I can't recommend thsi place enough!

Training at Jung SuWon has given me the ability to achieve dreams, gain self confidence, inner strength., A positive mental attitude! I’ve gained honor and respect not only for myself but for others. Respect for parents and the students. Children as young as 3 and adults > 80. Learning discipline, self motivation, self confidence, overcoming shyness. Daily stress of life, Addictions to food, TV, video games, become physical fit. Whatever the reasons, each student grows in a multitude of ways. Testing’s are a time of celebration not only for each candidate but for everyone present. Jung Su Won is a great place for families training together. Learning to help one another, to communicate and share.
