Just Salon and Spa

After researching many salon and spa's in my area, I came across JUST salon and boy was I happy! Not even waiting for 5 minutes a friendly girl named Joy offered me a beverage and walked me back. Not only did she make a great cup of joe, but she gave me one of the BEST shampoo's I have EVER had! I had a service done with Roxanne who always goes above and beyond my wishes! DO NOT LISTEN TO THESE OTHER REVIEWS!!!! JUST was an amazing experience for me and i will be back again! Thank you

My haircut was uneven and I paid too much money to be disappointed. My stylist did not seem too happy working there either.

This salon is not what it should be to be in that mall, the hairdresser that I had screwed up my color so bad and I had to have it refixed, so expensive and it is mediocre at best!!

The staff there seems generally nice enough, but they're all very young and inexperienced & seem to have no idea what they're doing. I've lived in the area for years & know many in this business, & I know for a fact the staff turnover at Just is extremely high, partly b/c they're all clueless, & partly b/c the owner, Mario, is an arrogant jerk who couldn't care less about anything except his bank account. Avoid this place like the plague, unless you want your hair, skin & nails butchered.

If it weren't for the front desk, I would have given 5 stars. The people who actually work in the spa are outstanding - very friendly and professional. However, the front desk is terrible. A few of the managers are OK, but some of the younger or less experienced receptionists are not good at all. I have been there many times and the front desk has made many mistakes such as significantly over-charging my credit card and losing my appointment. Even though the mistakes were all eventually fixed, it was just an annoyance to deal with because the whole point of going to the spa is to relax. I think a lot of the problem lies in the fact that most of them do not know how to use their computer system. Anyway, the people who actually do the spa services are excellent, so its worth it to go for them. But, just be prepared to deal with a slightly incompetent and slightly rude front desk.

Out of curiosity I read the one or two negative reviews prior to writing this one - I have to reason to doubt their truthfulness, but to me they appear to represent very isolated incidents tolearated by emotionally suspect persons. I came in for a single process and a haircut. I was pampered like a queen and did not have to wait for more than 30 seconds for any of the services. I was offerred refreshments about 5 times. Now for the hair - Mario is a haircutting GENIUS. My haircut makes me look and feel like a supermodel (I am a 33yr old tired mother of two with a full time job). My husband can't get over how young and beautiful I look. Chris did an unparallelled single process job. My favorite part, aside from the obvious - looking like a million bucks - was the assistant, Kathleen. She was as poised as she was pleasant, patient and incredibly attentive to my every need. I am going back and have already recommended to all my friends. On a street with about 5 other salons, this one

When I walked in to book the eyelash perm that I now understand according to Idiot No. 1 is a service which Just Salon does not offer, I had tried to be gracious and overlook the fact that a very good friend of mine insisted that this was a lousy salon. He had his hair cut by someone who cut it uneven on the sides of his fact. Also his brow waxing was crooked. This he said happened because the salonist was being rushed around with overbookings. The reason I decided to post this is because I was so annoyed at the indifference from everyone. I have never been kept waiting 25 minutes and repeatedly being asked what was my name and what was I there for? I must have said my name 10 times along with EYE LASH PERM! All I got was a pathetic "sorry" from Idiot No. 1, who could have saved me all this trouble a week ago. I would have had the service done for probably half the price at an outstanding salon in Manhattan during the week.

Zero stars. Based on the stupidity at the front desk this is an amateur show. Please go to Manhattan for some training! I walked in last week & asked if I could get a lash perm. Idiot No. 1 tells me he'd take a look. A minute later tells me there's no room. I returned a week later & asked Idiot No. 2 if I could be squeezed in for an eyelash perm. She couldn't figure out the computer. I mentioned I remembered working with a lovely woman at another salon on the other side of town in Short Hills. I thought her name started with a C....? (I realize now that it was Cara, and yes, she is excellent). But Idiot No. 2 said we have lots of people here. Idiot No. 3 has to help her book me. I get 12:45. I returned on time. Idiot No. 2 spent 25 minutes trying to find me in the computer. Finally Tony comes out. He wants to know what kind of Body wave I wanted. If that wasn't enough Idiot No. 1 from last week, tries to fit me in with some one else, then tells me "Oh we don't do them"

I've known Cara for many years now and I will follow her to the end of the earth if necessary. I'm so glad she's found a comfortable and classy salon such as this. Not only is she an upbeat, beautiful young lady with a special touch, she is also a consummate esthetician. I love her. Can't wait to make my next appointment.

the pople are so nice and the place is very relaxing. the person i was with did an excellent job and told me exactly what to expect (it was my first massage). i'm totally going there again.
