My mother in law introduced us to this wonderful place about 47 years ago.
Now my daughters and grandsons enjoy it as as well.
My husband and I love to seat by the water and watch the boats and sea gulls while enjoying the best fish and shrimps in NJ.
That is our special Sunday outing at least once a month. By Carmen Zuzworsky on April 09, 2009 at 02:01 PM
If you never tried a meal from the Keyport Fishery, you are missing out on the Best, Freshest Seafood ever ! I moved from Woodbridge, NJ to Nazareth, PA and still make appoint to visit the Keyport Fishery.
Hats off to all involed in bringing the Keyport Fishery back to life! By Frank Antoniello on December 09, 2008 at 01:15 PM
This place has GREAT seafood. Best, freshest and perfectly cooked scallops I,ve ever eaten. Also, you MUST try the new Orleans shrimp and scallop soup, it's outrageous. No skimping on the shrimp or scallops either. If you like fresh cooked seafood this is a must visit. By Al B. on September 08, 2008 at 07:31 PM
My grandmother used to take me there every summer. I have such wonderful memories of the fishery - the fish was always amazing and it was so peaceful to take our food across the street to the water. Years later, I'm still going and I can't wait to take my own kids and grand kids. By Anonymous on September 03, 2008 at 01:25 PM
Although you do get fresh fish there, it's not that cheap, and they don't have a variety, they only have a few types of fish. Does anyone know if the fishboats directly sell it to the public, like early in the morning out in the open, like an open fish market? By sam on August 14, 2008 at 10:10 AM
Similiar to the above review....My family has been going to the Keyport Fishery since I can remember. I would go with my Dad and Grandfather and sit near the stream behind the fishery. I have great memories of this place and one day will bring my own son.
The fish is second to none. I now live about 35min away but whenever in the area I always stop. By Rich on May 15, 2008 at 09:46 AM
Keyport Fishery is worth a special trip. I moved to TX years ago, but whenever I have a trip to NJ (usually Camden), I have to set aside one night for a KF dinner. Nobody else comes close. By Chris Pilla on October 15, 2007 at 08:09 AM
My Dad starting going to Keyport Fishery more than 20 years ago. He'd get take out and sit along the waterfront and watch the fisherman and boats go by. My Dad is now gone, but I still buy my fish at Keyport, traveling from Mountainside.
The fish is the best around and you know that you are getting quality far beyond what you'd buy at the supermarket.
Glad they're back open. By Pat on December 19, 2006 at 08:23 AM
