Kobe Japanese Restaurant

My daughter and I stopped in for sushi and were blown away. The sushi was incredible (Pink Lady was simply the best sushi roll we've EVER experienced.) The service was top notch. We've frequented only the top sushi restaurants in the Twin Cities and this clearly was by far the BEST!

You can definitely get your sushi fix here. The habachi's are pretty standard as is the show. They also have a fairly well stocked bar. Certainly in the top 3 sushi places in the greater twin cites area.

From the very first time that I went in the doors, I felt like I was at home. Japanese quizine is my absolute favorite and this on can't be beat anywhere. The people there make you like family and that's a big part of my dining experience. I've never been treated as well in any other restaurant. My wife and I go there almost every Friday night. We celebrated out birthdays and anniversay there because they make you feel special.

Probably the best place to eat japanese food in Minnesota. The service was awesome, the sushi was absolutely fabulous, and the place looks really fancy. Simply amazing

It was our first time dining at this restaurant and everything was excellent, from the service to the food. The server was very nice and answered all of our questions. The dishes we ordered were cooked perfectly and very tasty. The wine list had the best brands, my favorite was the mixed drinks. I will definitely return to this restaurant again to eat the delicious food and the beautiful atmosphere.

Although my partner and I are not a big fan of rolls, we have been extremely pleased with the freshness of the sushi & sashimi! We have received excellent service from the bartenders, the sushi chefs, servers and management. We've ordered non-menu items & everything was perfectly prepared! They seem independent of major chains, and this adds to Kobe's charm. If Kobe is understaffed, I have yet to experience any compromise in service or food quality because of it. Every piece of fish I have ordered has been fresh, delicious & made exactly how I wanted. The restaurant patrons clearly enjoy themselves as they are constantly laughing and applauding. Kobe is clean, trend &, the service is terrific (from the servers to the sushi chefs to the bartenders). And, of course, the sushi is just fantastic. They are missing bar (alcohol) specials & seem to charge a bit more for drinks than other places, but the sushi is so good, it's worth it! Love this place!

I have also called in the past and someone just says "hello". This is not professional and makes it confusing. I am now, once again, trying to call in a take-out order and I only get a message saying that the mailbox is full. They really only have one phone line????? Apparently understaffed.

Service was excellent. Hibachi grill cook was very entertaining; he put on quite an act. We would have liked our Shrimp Appetizer before the other food was served. The fried rice was worth the $2.50 extra. The steak was excellent. The Salmon was a little fishy tasting. I liked the fact that could have sat at the regular tables and still had the Hibachi grill menu without the show. Saparro beer was $8 a glass, a little pricey.

I just called to s ee if the new restaurant was open. Whoever answerd just said "hello" in an almost annoyed tone. There was no "Thank you for calling Kobe how may I help you?" or even "Kobe Restaurant". I found it surprising that they weren't more friendly for being so new.

I was there with 2 friends on Tuesday 3/11. We walked in and the hostess was on her cell phone, didn't greet us or ask us if we had reservations which we did. She crabbed 3 menus and showed us to a booth, I said excuse me be we had reservations for the hibachi table. She just showed us to the table, did not say sorry, nothing. Just stayed on her cell phone. The food was fantastic and the cook was great.
