Lesser priced instruments made outside of the USA have a much shorter useful playing life. They cost more to maintain and be repaired. Parts are rarely available, so bench rates are more. I do repair these, but in the long run, value and quality has been compromised.

Reviews about MOORE MUSIC REPAIR
Recommend Highly..Very Knowledgeable
Excellent, quick and honest service. Brought my sons instrument in late Friday afternoon and needed it back early the following week for his school's seat challenges. Greg finished the repair lightening fast and had the sax back by the ring of the bell Monday morning. Spent extra time and explained on how to properly maintain the instrument. Can’t say enough about his fantastic service and fair pricing. I would highly recommend Moore’s Music Repair for all of your instrument repair needsBy Reiner January 10, 2012 at 06:34 PM
Very thorough cleaning of my horn. It now plays better than new. The valves operate more quietly than on any horn I've played in 50 plus years.By alky44 February 28, 2013 at 09:10 AM
Great job with school instruments!
I brought in some middle school instruments that had been sitting idle for some years, and that were in very poor condition. Greg fixed them up beautifully! The instruments were made playable, and were given extra touches that only a caring professional would do. For example, one trombone was so old and the brass so far gone that it leaked profusely. Greg improvised and put a sealant on the slide, making it possible for one more student to play an instrument. He did the same for large dents on the bell of our tuba, making it presentable as well as playable. Greg also fixed the latches on some of the old instrument cases. I am extremely grateful for the attention to detail and great workmanship that Greg put into these instruments. I now have 15 students playing instruments that were just rotting on our shelves! I highly recommend Moore Music Repair for your school instrument repairs. I will also be recommending Greg to my students for their own instrumental needs.By Suzan Ingersoll January 11, 2012 at 06:16 AM
Moore Music is a great find and provide EXCELLENT service
My daughter's clarinet needed repair ASAP for Friday's football game. I emailed them through this website and was contacted immediately to bring it in for repair. I waited during my lunch hour. They did a great job and were very friendly. I'm glad I found them since they are right off the freeway and very reasonable. The kids in band couldn't believe she got it fixed so fast and asked for their business cards... which she happlily passed them out. THANK YOU for the excellent service.... and helping us out in a crisis....By JKachinko August 27, 2012 at 08:01 AM
Moore Music is a fantastic value
Moore Music has sold me numerous instruments for my children as well as having rebuilt my personal tuba. Greg's instruments and repair work are beyond compare. When my children first started playing, I purchased used student models from Greg. Later, we purchased a professional cornet which my son still uses in his brass band. Where did I take my tuba when it wheezed and clicked? Why to see Greg. He did a total rebuild for an extremely reasonable price. In short, an awesome experience. Awesome work for reasonable prices.By Jonathan Fairman January 11, 2012 at 05:15 AM

He has years of experience as a musician and expert repair man. This is extremely valuable when guiding customers on a purchase or doing a repair right the first time! Greg made special appointments to fit my busy traveling schedule, and always has great stories and quality horns for me to give a try. This place is worth a visit! Attention to detail
I first met Greg Moore when he came in my store in search of materials to use in his instrument repair. He was highly informed in the quality of materials needed and was only interested in having the best for use repairing instruments. If he puts half as much attention to detail in the repair it's self he has to be a step above the rest.By Tandy Leather Company January 07, 2010 at 03:56 AM
I have used Greg for years. He restored a badly damaged cornet and baritone . I recently bought a used baritone from him. In all my forty years of playing, I have never met anyone who knew as much about instruments as Greg.By Tom Hospodar July 06, 2009 at 07:37 AM
Greg took great care to check over my soprano sax and adjust and seal a few significant leaks. (now I have no excuses! LOL) Thanks Greg, from now on I know where I'm bringing all my instruments. You are a true craftsman.By Mark J Barton May 17, 2009 at 06:12 PM
I came to Greg with in an emergency bari sax repair--the neck piece came unsoldered--while I was passing through Cleveland on tour from New York. Greg made time for me immediately and now the horn plays significantly better than before the break. Highly recommended!By David March 05, 2009 at 04:58 PM

Hi Greg, I have a Bundy Student Brass Trumpet in need of refinishing and chemical treatment. There are a few minor dents as well. What would the estimate be to perform this work? Thanks, SandraBy on September 05, 2013
My "Clean Flush n Lube" includes chemical bath etc to remove all corrosion. I also remove all reachable dents - cost for average trpt is$75 - $100 - firm estimate upon inspection. A complete overhaul includes an CFnL, full n dent removal and refinishing -$400 for brass lacquer, $600 for silver. Major damage, valve repair or new parts are extra. Firm estimate upon inspection. A full OH on a Bundy costs more than it is worth. A "CFnL", w/touchup lacquer is about $125September 06, 2013
