Mangia Italian restaurant

OH MY GOSH; I could not believe how delicious the food was! I was trying desperately to leave some of my five-cheese tortellini for my husband to try and having a most difficult time. When I saw this on the specials menu, it said, "Five-Cheese Large Tortellini, roasted ...garlic, onions, sweet corn, peas, mushrooms in an Alfredo sauce." I was wondering about peas and corn in the Alfredo sauce; sounded a little odd to me, but I don't usually frequent Italian restaurants. That is now going to change. This was one of the worst italian experiences I have had! I spent $70 for two and brought my own bottle of wine. With no salad with dinner and had to ask for bread. To top it all off my husband and I came home to a night of riding the porcelian bus all night long. worst $ I ever spent. I think Gordan Ramsay needs to take a trip To Hooksett!!!!!!!!!!!!

I found this restaurant through Reastaurants.com and I must say how pleased I am with this establishment. My boyfriend is Italian and appreciates an authentic Italian meal. I decided to take him here for his bday, mainly to cut down on costs since I had a gift certifi...cate and you can bring your own bottle of wine. I made reservations for 8 pm and of course I would be running late. I called back to say that we would be a little late and the hostess/ waitress stated that would not be a problem, they were holding a table for us. We were sat right away, our bottle of wine uncorked, listening to Italian music in the background. Their menu is on the smaller side, but they had another full menu for specials. The food...fantastic. We had the stuffed portabella mushroom, chicken francese, a special chicken dish and cheesecake for dessert. All of the food was delicious. Like being in the North End Again, keeps me going back for more.

I was impressed with the freshness of food and the generous entree portions. My sister and I are planning to go back and bring our husbands this time. I would make one suggestion.....you definitely need more help. I called on a Thursday evening around 5:50pm to make a r...eservation ( as suggested for weekends) for a Friday evening and the person who answered the phone kept telling me how busy she was and that she would have to call me back, but then decided to take my reservation information. This is such a great little place. Very small, but the food was so amazing! My husband is Italian and he said this was the best Italian restaurant he had ever eaten in! Everything was so fresh tasting. Just wonderful!!
