Shaolin Kung Fu Centers (aka Maurys' Kung Fu Academy)

I have been practicing martial arts for over seventeen years. Out of all the places I've trained and the instructors who've taught me, this is easily one of the best schools. Sifu Gary's relaxed and friendly attitude may seem surprising considering his skill both as a martial artist and as an instructor. There is a high level of personal attention given to each student. Sifu’s ability to teach both children and adults in a way that suits their style of learning have helped me to progress further in my training in the past several months than I did in years preceding. Besides the excellent instruction, the school itself is wonderful. The students are friendly and welcoming. The school is spacious and well-maintained, and the tuition is much more reasonable than most schools in the area, especially considering the quality of the instruction. You'd be doing yourself a favor to enroll!

I have suffered from back pain for 40 years. Nothing seemed to help until I discovered Tai Chi. The lessons at Maury's and Sifu Gary's training have kept me pain free for three years no matter what I do to 'abuse' it. I don't believe in miracles but this has given me a much better quality of life. I highly recommend Maury's as a substitute for medicines and drugs to live better. George

I have done Tai Chi at a few places and this is the best. No need to go further. A fun time and a good workout. Lots of instruction. Good stretching. GSC

My son has been attending Maury's Kung Fu in Worcester for 4 years and this past June acheived the rank of Black Belt! Maury's Kung Fu is not only a great "school" it is a "FAMILY". Sifu Gary is an extraordinary teacher who cares about each of his students. My son has grown from a boy into a caring self- confident young man and I know this is owed to Sifu Gary and Maury's Kung Fu. This is a wonderful school and I highly recommend it to any everyone and every age.

My brother and I have been very active in different martial arts and physical fitness. I am a former US Marine and certified fitness trainer. I was on the Marine boxing team. I also studied Kempo and Marine Mixed Combat Fighting. My brother suggested taking up Kung Fu. I aggreed but really didnt see the point. My exprience with martial arts schools has been "your check cleared here is your belt". Shaolin Kung Fu Centers blew me away from day one. Sifu Gary's passion for his art shows in everything. His dedication to preserving the actual art of Kung Fu motivated me to make learning about Kung Fu something I wanted to do. I expected to learn to stretch, kick, block and punch properly. I have learned that the Art of Kung Fu is learning the art of fighting while understanding that a martial artist can defuse conflict with just the tone he sets. after almost 8 months I carry what I learn with me everyday. One of the best things I did for myself is join this great school.

Teaching students of all ages to protect them self is a lesson everyone should learn. The real accomplishment is not what you gain from the training; it is what you put into it that makes the difference. Our two boys have been going to this school for a little over a year.. They have learned respect, focus, discipline, and the art of Kung Fu. The teacher Sifu Gary is great with children and the family atmosphere makes all the difference at this school. We had tried local Karate schools and we were not at all impressed.. however this school also offers a reduced rate for more than one child (which can not be beat!) as well as the the rates being quite affordable to begin with. HIGHLY recommend this school!

I've been a student at Shaolin Kung Fu Centers since September 2009 and am delighted with the whole experience. At the age of 42, I've lost 30 pounds, and am more fit, healthy, strong, and flexible than I've been in years. My 8-yr-old son started at age 7 and is still going strong, attending every class 2 times a week, and loving every minute of it. The community is great. Instructors are very friendly. The kung fu system has very deep lineage, back into ancient China. So, students can enjoy a cultural aspect of the training too. And the price is very reasonable. My only regret is that I didn't get started several years ago. I plan on being a student in this school into my old age. It's just FUN. And it's good for me too.
