I've gone to other professional hair stylists in the past and Kendra is the first person that actually listened to what I said and cut my hair the way I wanted. I am very pleased with the cut I received.

I have been jumping from salon to salon for years now, just unable to find my true home. I recently went to MetrOasis not really expecting anything different. All I have to say is i WILL NOT go anywhere else ever again. I am use to having so many diff people do my foils that I wasnt scared. I was scheduled with Trista, the NEWEST student, and I will never go anywhere else. My hair has never looked this good and the service has never been that amazing. I would recommend this beauty school (SALON) to anyone and everyone.

I went to MetrOasis today for the first time, based solely on their website and reviews I found online. I was just looking for something "different" to pamper myself, and I was more than pleasantly surprised! I've never been in such a unique, eclectic, warm, professional salon! Sue, Sigel and their students run a first class establishment! You end up getting double the service with the students wanting to do their best and Sue and Sigel mingling and supervising, making sure the students and customers know all the options for the results they're looking for. I was a little nervous about letting someone I'd never had contact with before do my foils and cut - but this is probably the BEST color job I have ever had! I will definitely be back! I'm looking forward to seeing the student progress and grow!

We have been very pleased with the quality of training of the Metroasis estheticians. Their students are fully prepared and ready to hit the ground running when they graduate. Metroasis is our school of choice when hiring estheticians at our Medical Spa and I will highly recommend this school and the quality of their training to anyone. Within a month of starting at Metroasis, I was confident that I had learned more in those 4 weeks than I had in the 8 I had attended at Redken. I was already doing customized color formulations for clients instead of just straight out of the tube color. The haircutting techniques were so much more precise than what I had previously learned that I was floored by it. At Metroasis, we have classes at least four times a week. Each project or client we have is given individualized attention from one or both of our instructors. In addition, we are given the skills & opportunities to improve our communication skills, our customer service skills, & are given the opportunities to work hard to reach our goals. This industry is not about having your hand held as you lightly tread the path of career & success. It's about taking responsibility for yourself, your education, & your future. At Metroasis, they help you to do that by including classes on how to promote yourself & your business. Thanks!

I have had the best year of my adult life at MetrOasis! I am a mother of 4 and just wanted a professional career for myself and my family. I wanted my choice of school to be a good investment. I chose very well! I have just graduated from the school with outstanding knowledge of cosmetology. This school is only for you if you are looking to learn all you can from hands on training and the 2 instructors that know so much and has training in just about all areas of cosmetology and esthetics. They want you to succeed and encourages you everyday in that path. I worked one on one with the BEST clients EVER! We were put on the floor when we were ready and I loved the self pace atmosphere I was in. It is the same for the esthetics program as well. I looked forward to school everday, wondering what new technique I was going to learn. So much more then reading out of the text books. When I visited other schools in the city, they felt cold, plain white hospital feeling. Not friendly.

I have graduated from the Hair program at Metroasis and am currently in the Esthetics program. Metroasis is a wonderful school owned by wonderful people. The training and experience here is all hands on - we learn by working on you. The first facial clients I had all knew I was a beginner and accepted that. We actually work on fellow students before working on a salon client. The first thing they teach us is customer service - how can we make you more comfortable and meet your needs. The bad review below sounds more like a personal attack on the Shroys than a review of the service received. All of the students here are exceptional and we truly care about our school and fellow students. My favorite story from a client, a 12 year old girl, told me "you guys are way better than Trendsetters. They only have black and white colors, with a dumb carpet in the waiting area. I love shopping!! For clothing, shoes, and schools.. I am in beauty business for over 22 years. Throughout the years practicing in this field I have graduated from BEST beauty schools in Soviet Union, Russia, Ukraine, Spain, France and Alaska! And yes, before I did contact the Metroasis Beauty School I did my homework. I found this place a very professional, friendly, fun, positive and very advanced. The knowledge and skills our instructors helped us to acquire were way more than basic state requirements. Sue and Sigel are very dedicated experts, they always on top of new technology and market. I felt honored to be around these people. They not just taught me certain skills but became my mentors as well. If you know what you want and you are motivated to become a good beauty professional, this school is the BEST place in Alaska! I got a formal styling done here and it was absolutely fabulous!!! They did a great job listening to certain things that I wanted and my hair actually stayed in place for the whole night, which never happens! I can't wait to get my hair done there again!

From my first experience getting their Signature Facial to getting my hair highlighted, all of it has been fantastic!! It's sometimes hard to believe I'm being worked on my students!! Everybody is very professional and personable!
