I love it here! I feel like I cannot get enough so i go for both classes evey week. These people and this place are amazing. Phil is a down to earh guy not like some of the egomaniacs on LI.

I took the 8 week Female Self Defense Course at Modern Warrior and cannot encourage enough that every woman I know take this class or the 4 week class that the school offers. I entered the class slightly skeptical about what new skills I would learn - I had some previous martial arts and self defense experience - and emerged not only very humbled but also tremendously educated and confident in my newly obtained abilities. Needless to say, I am now a student at the regular classes at Modern Warrior and cannot stress enough the importance of the Female Self Defense class to any and all women. It will help you know how to physically defend yourself but also will change your whole psychological and emotional outlook as it pertains to your right and ability to defend yourself.

This is the best place for women's self defense. I took their one night class with my daughter and we will be going back this summer for the longer course. Very knowledgeable teachers and really good people. They give you a free dvd when you take a tour of the place. I will definetly go back!

No contracts for the kids is what i like best. They do not want six months up front for the classes. Nice head master and supportive envronment. They care about teaching kids to defend themselves from teh school bully.

They do not have mirrors and they wear regular clothes to train in. I spent a few years there and had to leave due to scheduling, but would go back in a heartbeat. I love the place and the head master Phil is really down to earth. It's totally worth it.

Phil, the master, is great with the kids and Megan is a sweetheart. All three of my sons go together and it's done wonders for them at home. I see more confidence in handling school situations and I like that Modern Warrior has a focus on the real life training they need.

I grew up taking karate and while I respect and appreciate what I've learned and experienced, Modern Warrior has opened my eyes to fresh and innovative concepts I would not have learned from the traditional arts.

I started my training in 2001. I am so thankful for MODERN WARRIOR coming to the airport and offering flight attendants and pilots the opportunity to feel safe again while traveling. What I like is the fact that no matter what disability you may have, you are able to accomplish your goals. You train at your pace, and the instructors are always there to help you ,no matter what it takes for you to feel comfortable. The school has so much to offer. We get to train in all of the elements you can think of. For example, rain, snow, confined areas etc. I feel very confident that I KNOW I can WIN in a life or death situation. I am very thankful and proud to be a student at MODERN WARRIOR .
