In remembrance of 9-11 Local 42 of the Freedom of Road Riders of Franklin county decided to make Moreland's our destination for our bike ride. 50 plus bikes showed up at J&D Diner in Pacific and rode backroads to Morelands. I called ahead and talked to the owner and was told he would be ready for us with buffet style food and warm hospitality. When we arrived, we were met at the door and welcomed by their staff..All day long, all you could hear were people praising Moreland's. It seems to me the hushpuppies were the bomb, not to mention the catfish. There was plenty of room and we were very well taken care of... As we were leaving, the staff came out and saw us off. It was a great day to ride and a very good experience. We rode back to Pacific Legion where we had live music and all of the proceeds for our benefit went to the Union Food Pantry. Remember ...Union Food Pantry is very Biker friendly...Thanks to all at Moreland's...we were more than impressed...Tex V.P. Local 42 By Tex Garner on September 12, 2011 at 11:11 AM
Last night we went to Morelands for dinner. Especially for the catfish, was delighted to find other items on menu. There were ten of us and two had birthdays. They treated us very well, dinner was delicious, hot and waitress's were very friendly. We would recommend Moreland's to anyone. They were really good and the decor was rustic. Nice atmosphere. Had very enjoyable experience. Bread pudding was excellant best my 92 year old father has every tasted. We will definetly go back. By Earlene Hill on October 06, 2010 at 10:11 AM
Enjoyed the fish at this restaurant but I could have done with out the second hand smoke!! We asked to be seated in a non-smoking area, but the the table next to us still had people smoking. The owner said they had to move areas around to accommodate the large party coming in. SO be advised this is not a smoke free environment to eat in. Next time I will probably go somewhere else. Can't stand the smoke in a restaurant. By Sam on August 20, 2010 at 06:27 PM
I have ate at the resturant many times and you cannot compare the quality or service of food. We enjoy the personnal service the owner provides by taking time out to sit and actually talk to you and consider what you have to say about the resturant. We have tried many items on the menu but keep coming back to the catfish. I recommend going on Friday night for all you can eat catfish or Saturday night for Prime Rib.
The drive may be long just south of Vienna but it is worth it. By Dale Chapman on September 29, 2009 at 08:26 AM
