do you get rid of head lice?
robert dupuis, August 18, 2010
I believe we spoke on the phone this morning, I am sorry, but treating headlice in a salon is against state board regulations. Per our conversation purchasing a kit at your local pharmacy (called RID) would be my advice, along with the upholstery insecticide spray sold for that purpose, although some will say that vacuuming is sufficient. Follow the directions on the box, you may have to treat again after a couple days if there are still live lice., If no luck after the second treatment call your DR. It is very important that along with treatment to the head, all that has come in contact with the person needs to be sterilized as well. Washing and drying in (hot) water, the use of bleach when possible, all bed clothes, Pillows and stuffed animals or anything that can not be washed should be placed in a plastic bag, sealed and left for 2-4 weeks. Good luck and please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
