This place is pathetic, a bunch of liars, I think most of their service reparis are just dumb luck. Everytime I call them I get one lie after another - all depends who you talk to what the problem.

Great bunch of guys. My Gateway had a problem with the plug in connection and I sent it to these guys. They diagnosed the problem for free and came up with a solution. Thanks for all your help.

I ended up running into a problem with a stripped screw on a laptop, and unfortunately it was where the hard drives resides. I tried everything that people had mention online and had no luck. Working in the IT field as well I know there is just somethings that you need to leave to the professionals. These guys took care what I need done and did it fast.

Steve and the techs at Oncall have bailed my laptop out of the recycle bin since February. They have saved, recovered and protected all of my vital files in a timely and efficient manner. All at a reasonable price. When I had a bios error they even fixed it for free! They will have my business long after this laptop does go to the recycle!

Very disappointed. Laptop screen blacked out, barely visible but there. Wouldn't lighten up. Was told I needed a new hard drive and fan. Done. Took it home - same problem. Took it back. No call for a week. Finally picked it up to learn they did nothing. Still blacked out. Told its a signal interference in my neighborhood. Not the inverter or LCD light as I suggested. Oh wait - it is that per the shop I took it to in Lorton. Problem solved. $380 at 25/7 for 0. $45 at Geeks & Wireless. Didn't like being treated as a dumb blonde!!

These guys have saved 2 of my laptops now - even recovered everything from a really damaged hard drive! They explain everything to you and will answer even the dumbest questions I ask! The evaluation fee is credited towards any work and they even have pre-pay programs for folks like me who wear out computers fast. Professional, fast, clean, honest! I always turn to them anytime day or night for help and they always deliver results to keep me connected and working.

They guys at 25/8 saved several years of hard work for me and I am deeply grateful. They were unable to recover the information from a destroyed thumb drive, however were successful in recovering the same information from a damaged external hard drive I had dropped. 25/8 was quick, professional and cost-effective, and I highly recommend them to anyone in need of a computer repair.

I had issues with my laptop and I called onCALL 25/8 to repair my computer. A technician came to my home and took my computer to their shop and returned it back to me in a very timely manner. Several days later, the same problem happened with my computer again. I called onCALL 25/8 again and a technician returned to my home and fixed my laptop on the spot...for FREE!!! onCALL 25/8's customer service and professionalism, along with the friendly and knowledgeable technicians, made it a pleasure for me to do business with them. I would call upon onCALL 25/8 again for all of my computer related problems.

These guys are excellent. They did great work on my laptop, and were willing to work within my budget, did I mention that they were pretty fast? I would highly recommend using them instead of sending a computer back to the manufacturer which could take months.

It was two days before I had to fly to Japan, when I dropped my laptop and broke the LCD screen. It was a pretty big crisis for me, since I had non-stop meetings in Tokyo that would leave no time to fix the screen once I was in Japan, and being without my computer would have been more than a small problem. OnCall turned out to be real lifesavers. I had only less than a day in DC. I found them through google, and called them the day before I was flying in; they were very accommodating. I was able to have Gateway rush deliver my new LCD to OnCall, who installed it for me very promptly and professionally . My laptop was repaired without any problems or delays. They were truly a pleasure to do business with, and I recommend them highly.

I received very prompt, professional and courteous service from Steve and his associates at the Duke St. shop for replacement of my hard drive. They gave me an estimate within 24 hours and had it replaced in a couple of days, despite having to order it. The technician explained every program they loaded on my hard drive before I left and showed me how they worked. I would use them again and recommend them to friends.

Oncall 25/8 provided prompt, efficient service for my processor, which was afflicted with spyware and viruses. I appreciate the recommendation and installation of free browser software and security software to reduce future threats to my system.
The help was friendly and knowledgable. The cost of repairs was a bit higher than I anticipated but the thoroughness of the service and the fixes they came up with were worth it.

This is my second time using oncall 25/8's services. They were able to remove a virus the first time and keep all my personal data. The second time they also were able to keep all my personal data. They also suggest services such as mozilla firefox that are safer for your computer. I enjoyed the convenience of using a remote session to resolve one of my issues.

II had the not-so-lovely privilege of dealing with these people for almost a month. I simply had a broken backlight, but it was deemed that the entire LCD screen needed to be replaced instead. In addition to charging me an ungodly amount, I had to constantly call in ask about the status of my computer. Don't even bother leaving your name and number for them to get back to you because they never do. I ultimately called in and went through the extension designated for customer queries. This pissed the guy off who always answered the phone, but at any rate this guy seriously always seemed to have an attitude problem.
Conclusion: don't waste your time. There is not a smidgen of customer service other than the cat who shouldn't even be there to begin with. Save yourself some time and unneeded anxiety and just buy a new computer... it's worth the peace of mind.

We have used Oncall 25/8 several times. They have always responded promptly, either with an onsite visit, or by remote access. The technicians have been courteous and professional, and they have been able to solve the problems expeditiously. I would not hesitate to recommend them highly.

I took my PDA to Radio Shack to have the battery replaced. They were unable to do open the battery compartment, handed me several screw drivers and allowed me to try. The end result was one less screw than I started with and the old battery firmly in place inside the PDA. I decided to try 25/8 in Alexandria. They replaced the battery (and the missing screw) in a matter of minutes. The employees were professional, courteous, and above all, knowledgeable. The manager runs a great shop and I would recommend 25/8 to anyone with computer repair needs.

Oncall 25/8 provided me with excellent service on many occasions. They were readily available, courteous and solved my problems quickly. I would highly recommend this business. After initial service, 25/8 continued to assist me with other problems at no charge. They connected remotely to resolve a numbe of issues, including virus concerns. Very, very satisfied!!

If you reading this then... run miles away from ONCALL 25/8.
To start with their customer service is pathetic...
I am a former Dell technician so I know a lot abt computers...
Well I get to know "in fine print" tht it cost $50 for them to deliver laptop back home... $50 if U don't pick it up from their Lab within 2 weeks and if its more than 45 days then it's their property... trust me these guys will never call when you refuse to use their services....
Well it gets even worst for me- when I collected my laptop from their Lab... My laptop's LCD screen was broken - USB casing was Broken... one of the USB connector was broken and god knows what all they must have done to my laptop internally...
I am going to refer these guys to BBB.

I recently used 25/8 to diagnose a problem that had been interfering with our work productivity at the office for weeks. The technician identified the problem (which had eluded our prior IT person) and figured out a method to circumvent the issue. Moreover, the technician (Steve) was courteous, attentive, bright and conscientious. I was very impressed with the whole package!! As a result, I would recommend 25/8 wholeheartedly, whether you have one computer or are networked as we are.

I want to commend these guys for the outstanding service I've received from their technicians.
Most recently Larry has responded in a timely manner to my request. He pinpointed the problem in a matter of minutes. He took my computer to their shop and it was serviced within a few days and returned working more efficiently. The technicians are extremely polite and always answer all of my questions.
I renewed my service contract with them because of the oustanding service always provided by all of the technicians that have visited my home and worked on my computers.
