Petropolis

My dog HATES the groomer... that is, he did BEFORE we found Petropolis. After trying 5 different groomers, we had to start having him sedated to get him groomed. However, I decided to try Petropolis and he did great. No sedation, no problems... they are fantastic! Whenever we pull into Petropolis, he gets excited (as opposed to the nervous, jittery character he turned into at the old groomer). They REALLY know how to work with animals! And the prices are very reasonable.

My dogs, Anjelica (8) and Margarita (4), are spoiled little Chihuahuas with some BIG attitudes! Roxanne and Rob are helping me socialize them (better late than never) and train them and we have seen a difference immediately. As I type they are being boarded and I can leave them worry free knowing they love the staff and are getting the social skills they didn't learn as puppies. The entire staff has been amazing with me (an over protective dog mom) and my girls (who bark, bite, growl and fuss). We are joining a group of real pet lovers and gaining practical knowledge and experience that will help me enjoy my dogs more and help them understand boundaries, rewards, obedience and appreciate other people and dogs. I shopped around to all the other facilities and couldn't be more pleased or comfortable with the beautiful and positive environment at Petropolis... Thanks so much to all of you!!!

Hands-down the best place to get your pet groomed in St. Louis. My dog hates going to most groomers but she loves Petropolis. The people that work there are so sweet to her and she actually gets excited when she walks in the door. Petropolis goes out of its way to make grooming (and boarding) a positive experience for your four-legged friend. My sister's dog has outrageous separation anxiety coupled with the urge to snarl at anyone who tries to pick him up but, somehow he let the groomer scoop him up like a baby and take him to be groomed. According to my mom, it was like an episode dog whisperer. My puppy comes back from her "spa day" with a spring in her step, bouncy/shiny hair and smelling better than I do!

I've been taking my dog there since 2007. It's a great place for dogs, especially if they love to play with other dogs, play outside and play in the water like my dog does. The staff is awesome and you can tell they really care about the animals and like their jobs. I have checked out other pet resort/day camps but none of them match what Petropolis offers. I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else. My dog loves going to Petropolis.
