Queen City Tours(sm) and Travel

I booked a Charlotte tour with your competitor and thank God they did not show up on time because I would have missed the Queen City Tour which came highly recommended by one of the long-time Omni Hotel employees who steered me in the right direction.

Last year I took one of your competitor's daily city tour and was very disappointed that the guide could not answer my questions like I am used to when taking the Queen City daily tour. My wife and me took your daily city tour last year and had such a great time that we decided to move to the Queen City. We just took your tour again with some of our friends from northern Virginia and they too had a great time.

The group that went on the trip this past weekend [05/01/2010] – had a wonderful time. We started with a tour of some historic sites of Greensboro – such as A&T University – where the four young men that started the sit-in at Woolworth, Guiford College – with its claim as a stop on the Underground Railroad and other local sites. Then, we had a delicious lunch to ready us for our tour of the International Civil Rights Museum. Our tour guide, Vonda Adams did a terrific job – the tour was very impactful and often upsetting. After the tour of the museum we went to tour the Mendenhall Plantation…[which] also served as a stop on the Underground Railroad – as many of their relatives hosted sites up north and into Canada for runaway slaves. My wife & I had a wonderful vacation in Riviera Maya & Cancun, Mexico, Dec 5-19, 2009. Our flight from Cancun to Toronto via Philadelphia on Dec 19, however, ..was delayed every hour due to late arrival of the plane from Phila as a snow storm had started brewing up that morning..Because our flight from Phila to Toronto was cancelled & diverted to Charlote,.. stranded passengers were given pay room..we finally checked in at Fairfield Inn & Suites ..I asked the front desk whether there’s a city tour we could take on Dec 20..We were picked up at our hotel around 1:00pm..After taking the tour, every dollar we paid was well worth it..the tour took us to almost 70 historic & interesting sites.. the driver/tour guide entertained our questions..we truly enjoyed the very informative & personalized tour we had. [He] was not only knowledgeable about Charlotte & its history, but we also found him friendly & entertained our questions..We would definitely recommend this tour to our friends.

Thankyou! My family and I TOTALLY enjoyed our day (2/20/10) with you as our tour guide on the Black History Heritage Tour. We learned SO much, and the DVD was well worth the $5 price. I would recommend the tour to anyone. Very informative and quite entertaining!
