We were passing thru town on our way to Idaho and decided to stop in for the night. The motel had the best price in town for the amenities offered. They offered free WiFi so it was nice to map out our travel for the next day online. Rooms were spacious and clean. Stayed at the relax inn last month. My sister and I needed a motel to stay the night, we called and asked for the prices around downtown pendleton. This place offered the best rates and they had everything available. Free coffee in the rooms, free wireless internet, fridge, microwave. For the price this is way better than any expensive franchise motel. To me it's a waste to spend all that money for just one night. This place is the way to go!! Wow, Specacular Bevarian looking hotel, located right in the heart of historic downtown Pendleton. This place was way more than I expected (compared to other Relax Inn) the place looked like it was recently remodeled, with the cleanest room ever. The staff was out of the world with the service. The front desk staff printed me directions to where i was heading recommended a great place to eat, and were very hospitalible. I've never felt compelled to write a negative review about anything, but Relax Inn made me stop to do just that. The management refused to work with us at all in order to resolve our concerns. It seems customers exist to serve the hotel and not the other way around. More disturbing to me was that the management lied to my finance about payment issues, charged her credit card for services they never rendered and claimed to be unable to reverse those fees. Then they refused to listen to her and steam rolled her like a used car salesman into doing something she felt completely uncomfortable in doing. After talking to the management on the phone about her problems she was left in tears, the service was that terrible! I highly recommend travelers avoid this establishment. The management has proven incapable and even hostile towards working with customers should a problem arises about the hotel, and instead it directs its energy to work against its own customers. It was a different experience to stay in Relax Inn this time. Last year I stayed there, it was ok, but now... lot of changes.... The customer service of new owners is excellent and they are now remodeling the place. I wish them good luck. By Sean on August 10, 2008 at 08:48 PM
