You need to correct the address. It's located at 264 Main STREET not Main ROAD. We went on a wild goose chase as there is a Main Rd. in Great Barrington - out in the country!

If you're too distracted to think, or are in a hurry, pass on a visit to Rubiners. Careful attention to what is at hand, the smells, the labels, and the information handily dispensed by staff and by Mr Rubiner himself, if you're lucky, will add so much to the pleasure you will get when opening and eating these wonderfully crafted and selected cheeses. There is a fount of knowledge here about cheese and other foods.

This is a great cheese shop. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the best cheese shop in New England. Everyone has a right to their own opinion, but my experience with the owner was so different than the person's above that I have to disagree with the person who slammed him on the basis of one visit. I've been there 4 or 5 times and have talked to the owner 2 or 3 times.
