I live in Tampa and drive 30 miles most every Fri night to meet friends and listen to the music out back at "Ralphs". It's always a great time. Just like a big party!

this place has been around forever, and its awesome! yeah the place is a little dingy but thats part of its charm. it is a landmark of san antonio. cheap beer, good music and friendly atmosphere.

I went there for the R & B jam on Sunday the 3 rd of august, music was good, it's not the ritz, it is what it is, I had a good time, met some friendly people there including someone named Parker...I have every intention of doing it again..Hugs and kIsses everyone, well except for the guys.. J

My boyfriend and I have been going to San Ann for just a short time, and everytime we go we have a wonderful time!! The live bluegrass music, live blues music, all the live music IS GREAT!!!! We has a blast everytime we go! We dance, drink, talk to everyone, and everyone makes you feel like you've known them for years!! Great place to go and just have a good ole time!! LOVE IT!!

This is a great local bar a place where you go in and it feels like family. Drinks are cheap and the crowd brings a good vibe . Im not sure what the people before are talking about but ... as for bitching about the 5 dollar cover late night ... it shouldnt really matter because for the cheap price you pay on drinks and the friendly service you get id much rather pay 5 dollars and be close to home with great people so please stop your bitching ..... by the way we here at ralphs try to steer way of negative people so please keep that in mind . =) anyone else ready for a great time ... ill c u there .

I don't know what the other two people giving reviews are talking about, they must not go very often or possible have an issue with someone attached to the place and decided to "cyber bash" on here, I have been going there for over a decade and I don't have any problems at all and I'm sure if you ask the TON of people who have constantly packed the place over the years and years it's been open, they'll tell you they like the bar too. I highly recommend it, down home cooking, good prices, and polite service, you couldn't ask for anything better!

We get there at 12:20 am and the "bouncer" still demands the $5,00 entry fee! I guess we weren't college kids (and the place was swarming with them) so they didn't want older people there, so says a former "bouncer" that we were with. An hour and 40 minutes before closing and the guy still wants the $5.00 entry fee that was charged starting at 7pm - I guess they didn't want our business and won't ever get it, even if it's the last bar standing!

this place is a dump. it's dark and dirty. i don't think they have a broom or mop. food is cold, ceiling tile is stained and falling down, bathrooms smell like urine and the sink is gross, the manager wears extreamly short shorts and tank tops when helping cook and serve food. i wouldn't even give this place one star but that is as low as it can go.
