Smiling Pelican Bake Shop

In the beautiful little village of Maiden Rock on the shores of Wisconsin's grand Lake Pepin is the best bakery on earth. The Smiling Pelican Bakery is always a welcoming place and the great variety of treats Sandra and Dave create are beyond incredible. I only wish we lived closer so I could endulge every weekend! THE SMILING PELICAN IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST BAKERY I HAVE EVER BEEN TO IN MY LIFE-AND I HAVE BEEN TO MANY! THEIR FOCACCIA BREAD IS TO DIE FOR, AND THEIR JACK DANIELS CHOCOLATE CHEESECAKE IS ABSOLUTELY DIVINE. THEY HAVE THE MOST DELICIOUS LAVENDER COOKIES I HAVE EVER HAD, AND THE PANAMA-CREAM (BANANA CREAM) PIE IS OUT OF THIS WORLD. IF YOU'RE IN THE AREA OR NOT-MAKE A TRIP TO THE SMILING PELICAN! THEY'RE ONLY OPEN WEEKENDS, SO CALL AHEAD TO MAKE SURE THEY'RE OPEN. IT'S WORTH ANY DISTANCE OF TRAVELING!
