Sopp & Truscott Bakery
A great place to stop on the way to the mountains from Denver or on your way back from skiing. Terri and Shane are so friendly and they have awesome breads, desserts and chili! Off the beaten path and really cute!
thanks
Just wanted to say thanks. We stopped in Silver Plume a week or so ago because my grandfather was born there. My great grandfather was methodist minister in Silver Plume at the time. I wanted to see. Loved your bakery and we loved the couple loaves of bread I bought.... My sisters and I were meeting in Colorado for a wedding. Don't know when we'll get back but wanted to say thanks! Love your place. Marge
Great Bakery! A must visit
I've been frequenting the Sopp & Truscott for over 6 years now, and it gets better and better! Gail and Patrick are terrific and the new owners are great too and have brought a whole new life to the place. Go! Watch out for the Naughty Bars!!! So good.
What a Discovery!
My daughter, Jessica, and I were so lucky to walk through the historic doors of the Sopp & Truscott Bakery in Silver Plume. It's a bread and history lover delight. . , Don't miss it! The jalapeno and cheddar bread is delicious and the owners, Gail & Patrick Buckley, are a store of historical knowledge about the town.
Amazing Place
I first discovered Sopp & Truscott Bakery when I was in Photo School and was wandering around Silver Plume in a snowstorm. Eighteen years later and two owners later, they are just as wonderful as when I first stumbled upon them. I frequently purchase items from them for... gifts and have created loyal customers all the way to California. Stop on your way to the mountains and stop on your way back to the airport! Try the fruit bread as French toast and the Johnny bread for sandwiches. Their bread freezes well so you can buy several varieties, freeze them and use them as needed.
