Baton twirling is a sport that is heavily influenced by the art of dance! We are a performance and competition club. Class is Friday evenings from 6:00-7:00 at our Gull Road location. Class at Oshtemo is available upon request. The first class is informational and free. STARS Baton and Dance Club is for ages 5 and up, all levels. No experience needed! We are non-competitive and competitive to the national level. There is a place in the world of twirling for everyone! The first class is informational and free. SBDC has so much to offer students! Perform in parades and festivals! Perform for your school! (twirl, poms, cheer, color guard) , learn to make and reach goals with your STARS CLUB friends! Volunteer with the club in the community! Go to fun summer camps! Gain flexibility and strength, learn the importance of good sportsmanship! Stars Baton and Dance Club competed in their 1st annual Schoolcraft 4th of July parade! They did a wonderful performance in front of the judges and won first place! Congratulations girls! Coach, Andrea Hernandez, has twirled for 19 years. She has competed in the World Twirling Association (WTA), Twirling Unlimited (TU), Drum Majorettes of America (DMA) and the United States Twirling Association (USTA).

Stars Baton is the best
Since both of my girls started twirling with the club they have learned valuable life skills as well as twirling. Their coach, Andrea, instills good sportsmanship whether or not they win first place or come in last place. It is all about doing your best, meeting and making new friends and having fun.
Thank you, Andrea for all you do. We like to think of you as an extended part of our family along with all the other Baton families. We LOVE all of you very much. From our family to yours, have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Wonderful benifits of baton
I can not begin to give enough praise to Stars Baton and Dance Club. My daughter has been a twirler for 1 1/2 years now. We got her started because of a shoulder injury and baton has help her so much that she no longer needs physicial therapy. Baton has given her so much confidence and self worth. She loves to perform no matter what the event. From compititions (where she has made so many friends from other baton groups) to parades and concerts. This club has brought new friends not only into our daughters life, but also into ours as parents. Andrea is a wonderful coach who takes pride in each and everyone of her students and their accomplishments, big or small. Go STARS!!!
