Sun Isp provides my VoIP service. If I had DSL or cable, they would be perfect. Low cost per month, no minute charges, connection charges, etc. They're great. But having Wild Blue Satellite, limits what a VoIP service can do. In short it doesn't work well with Wild Blue. I can hear people clearly, but they often can't hear me well at all. I get a lot of hang ups. NetZero was perfect, but they quit! MediaRing Talk has clearer calls, but they charge per minute, which adds up quickly. Also, I can't add time to my account as their credit card system isn't working, at least for me. One more thing, with Sun ISP, i use Counterpath's X-Lite. If I switched to the full price version I would get the g729 codec which may be better.
