The road is a problem here. Not the biggest problem . Chickens, turkeys and other animals are allowed to run free and the residue from these is awful. The water stained my sinks and is not drinkable. The shower rooms are not cleaned on a dailey basis if at all. I stayed until I found a better place but would not recommend to anyone with a new camper. By Paul on March 20, 2011 at 05:34 AM
I am a senior citizen and a seasonal camper here and find it very relaxing and have met many nice people over the 6 years of camping. I often bring my great grandchildren and many times have stayed alone. The beautiful Susquehanna makes for a very wonderful view and a campfire at night with some good friends and a little country music make the day complete.Every now and then an Eagle will stop by to see what is going on. We enjoyed our stay at the susquehanna campground,it was right along the west branch of the river ,we did some fishing and some kayaking and loved it. We would recommend any one to check this place out By steve on March 04, 2011 at 03:16 PM
This campground provides a beautiful view of the West Branch of the Susquehanna however it is currently a bit run down. The largest problem is the NOISE during both the daytime and nightime. There is no control of this distraction. There is excessively loud music until all hours of the night. There is also a permanent camper that is permitted to explode a cannon at anytime he wishes. Until this practice is brought under control an alternate spot for camping along the beautiful Susquehanna River should be found. By John Gepfer on August 03, 2009 at 11:45 AM
