I hate you, but you saved me over $400K in a audit almost a year ago to the day. the IRS audit sucks, I don't care who you are. Tax Masters helped us save a bunch of money. We were freaked out. turned out good, but I still hated dealing with that whole thing. Good luck to all you who are going through audits. Tax MAsters can help, but you still gonna hate it.

Tax Masters has done really great work on my offer in compromise. But I am sorely disappointed in their refusal to pull their ads from Fox News and the Glenn Beck program. It's a shame because they provided great service. I didn't have any problems other than having to gather documents and tell the IRS everything about me down to the color of my hair.

Get off Glenn Beck Tax Masters.

I have read all the negative press lately from the Taxmasters unhappy clients. Taxmasters has done everything they said they would do for me. I am one who hates it when unhappy people make this kind of bad press.

Anyway Taxmasters helped me with a lien. they did good work and they did what they said they would do.

I called in to get a "free consultation". What a joke. It was basically stating what they can do in general, not anything specific that would be related to my situation. This free consultation lasted 2 minutes with me explaining my situation for at least 1 minute. I did not want to pay their price and they were rudely interrupted me saying he does not have time for "childish play". What a great example of customer service. I would stay away from this firm. With this kind of 'Great' service in the front end, I don't know what kind of services I should expect when I sign up.

Tax Master is awful. I hired them to work with the IRS and I was promised all kinds of things by the salesman. Once they received my debit card info, they withdrew $3,000.00 out of my account per our agreement. Then I was transferred to two different depts, neither of which who would communicate with the other one, and they would communicate with me only when I called them. The first thing they did was review my case and then send me additional contracts to sign saying they needed more money in order to work on my case. They didn't do what the salesman promised and they demanded more money. So, once I sent them more money they agreed to represent me with the IRS audit. THEY NEVER SHOWED UP FOR THE AUDIT! I had to fire them and hire someone else asap. Then they refused to let me fire them (because of the contract I signed) and kept taking money out of my bank account. I had to close down my bank account to stop them. STAY AWAY! They are the worst business I have ever worked with.

These people are the most unprofessional people I have ever had the displeasure of talking with. I know my tax problems are my fault. This guy told me I was "stupid", and "dumb". Then has the audicity to call my house every day for a week to see why I hung up on them. What a joke.

I contacted tax masters march 2010. I was going to be garnished from the state, I told them I need to have it stopped and they said every time I called that they would stop it. Now the garnishment still happened and tax masters said they did their job and still charged me. I hope no one ever uses their so called service. They are very condesending and useless. I am now broke and blame them.

I contacted them to get some tax benefits. I enjoyed saving a lot of money.

I had been with Tax Masters for two years. I had a efalcation/embezzlement that happened to my company and me 10 years ago. It took us two years to bring the party to justice. They were convicted of aggregate felony theft.. Tax Masters promised to come between me and the IRS. We filed Offer in Oct 2008, In Sept.2009,finally got meeting with Tax Masters, asked them to call IRS to check on status. They said they wanted to wait two weeks(Until Oct 09, then in there for one year and had to approve).
Nope. Got letter Oct 2, that IRS were "returning"not rejecting. Aparantly there was some info that they asked Tax Masters for that they did not respond to. I called them on daily basis to contact IRS. They Lied!
They said they called and the IRS would not answer their calls.
I called the IRS and they had no record of them calling,further,If Tax Masters had called IRS, we could have supplied information they needed, and not had my offer rejected due to their negligence.

They lost our information the first time but did excellent the second. Really appreciate the settlement. It took 3 years, which was due to lack of communication on the first go round. I found it very difficlt to reach the people that were working on our account. Sometimes it was 2-3 days, other times 3-4 months. The end result is all that matters though.

TaxMasters did a GREAT JOB REACHING A SETTLEMENT FOR ME WITH THE IRS. Everything went smooth,the only problem I am still having is getting the Credit Companies to remove the Tax Lien from my report. I would tell anyone have a problem with the IRS to connect TaxMasters for Help!! Thank You Again For All Your Help.

My first initial experience with TaxMasters was extremely frustrating. I found the first number of months there was poor communication. Once I had a supervisor involved through the remainder of the process, only then did things go smoothly. I am thrilled with the outcome, but wish I did not have to have a supervisor to get things done. For the money I paid, EVERY employee should know their job and follow up. Overall due to the efforts of Priya, I am more than satisfied. Thank you.

IRS cleaned out my savings and checking accounts,garnished my wages and threatened to take my car. It drove me into debt, destroyed my credit rating and left me only $500.00 per month to live on (monthly rent alone was $1040)and soon no place to live. Taxmasters stopped the garnishment, worked out a settlement deal and arranged for me to make monthly payments on that deal. Taxmasters were a HUGE help and I would recommend them to anyone facing IRS problems.

Time consuming but One Hundred Percent effective

The only problem I experienced was getting calls back when I had a question. But other than that things went far better than I expected

I hate tax master. I cancelled my agreement within the 3 days and they have not returned my refund and it has been 7 months now. All I get is the run around that they are still reviewing the cancellation. I paid them in full 8k upfront and they won't return my money. They did not do any work for me not even get my household composition and still they have not returned my money. I hate Tax Master. I hate Tax master

I won't recommend Taxmasters, do not let them take money from your credit card or you will be sorry it will take them 2 to 3 minutes to get it but when you decide to cancel the transaction it will take them 3 months to refund that money they took.

taxmaster ripped me for 7 grand any body who says they helped, half the reviews I read here are from taxmaster drones is a set up

I called in Nov '09 because of an IRS debt. The sales rep said"...we can get that down to nothing" I felt pretty good until Feb '10 when I found out they were lying!!! Thats why they have the "no refunds" clause in their contracts and why the're incorporated in Nevada but doing business in Texas. The state doesn't believe in consumer protection. Whatever you do DON'T USE TAXMASTERS!!! IF you really want to throw your money away on Tax Masters behalf you can help them out and "do the right thing" like TM promised (YET ANOTHER LIE) ONLY to say NO! Patrick Cox & Dewayne Logan are THE TAX BASTARD Thieves!!

I signed up with TaxMasters in Sept. They said they could help. Stop the Levys and negociate a settlement with the IRS. I paid them $2400 Up front and $715 per month, a total of $5200.00. In Febuary my account was Levied by the IRS and I faxed Tax Masters the paperwork so they could stop it. NOTHING happened, after many, many phone calls to Tax Masters... never EVER a call back... EVER! And didn't get the levy over turned when they told me this would never happen.
So in April I hirered an x-IRS agent that just started his Business in the last few years, and in three days stopped the Levys on our bank accounts. He also told me that the IRS told him that the only contact with Tax Masterts was back in September when Tax Masters asked the IRS for Transcripts. No other contact was ever made by Tax Masters in 6 MONTHS!!! Thats why they levied my accounts.
I paid $5200.00 for Tax Masters to order transcripts from the IRS!!! And the Lied to me and never called me back.

This is the biggest fraudulent place of business I have ever done business with in my life, I paid them $6800.00 and got the royal shaft after my husbands death. Oh they talk nice... while they are stealing you blind, then if you need to talk to them you can call and call and get no one to return your calls. You may by chance get someone to answer now and then but then you get treated rudely, they are mean and do not try to help at all!! What a bunch of scammers and loosers -- Patrick Cox, E. Dewayne Logan, Fred Hackett, Tyler Deck....

I have filed complaints w/ AG of Tx, Federal Trade Com, BBB and anyone else who will listen or help. On behalf of my aged/disabled mother with alzhemiers. I can assure you the poor reviews that TaxMasters are all correct!! Just about every bad report, complaint, review I have read sound exactly what happened to my mother! Or as my mother has most fittingly RE-named them TaxBastards!! I recommend telling the American/Texas public about what TM is lest they take your mother/father/family to the cleaners as well!! She contacted TM in early Dec., they drained her savings account in Dec, then they took $325 of the total of $771 social security that she receives monthly. They took this $325 on Jan 3rd 2010 and Feb 3rd of 2010, they said they would be able to keep her from having to pay ANY monies what-so-ever to the IRS, they said they would absolutely keep her accounts from being levied. Lies! She was levied after not getting anything done from TM after 10 months had gone by!!

When I wrote my review over the weekend I read the other reviews which had been written recently, there were at least 15 all of them were really bad. Stealing old peoples social security, not standing up to their responsibilities etc...well obviously. It says here that there has been 82 reviews and it is only showing 30, the Best 30!! I mean check it out...they have over a thousand complaints with the BBB, the Texas Attny General and the Federal Trades Commission! Wake up people! These guys are the ultimate scammers!!

TaxMasters took my money without contract. When I spoke with their scripted SALESMAN I told him I would agree to sign up ONLY if I could read thru the complete contract BEFORE my account was to be debited. HE AGREED. After I read their very, very sketchy contract I called back to tell them NOT to charge my account as I would NOT be doing business with a company which actually states in their contract that: whether they complete their job effectively or NOT I still have to pay! I told them to forget they had ever spoken with me!! The next AM I wake up to find that the down payment of $3500 was taken out of my account, when I called they stated that this was for the 3 minute phone "consultation" (2 of those minutes I was explaining my tax situation) and when he was talking he was giving me his scripted SALES pitch! Explaining why I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO READ THE CONTRACT 1ST!! They (Patrick Cox & Dewayne Logan) refused any type of refund!! These guys, this company is a complete SCAM!!

Im no great shakes with computers. I found this reviews and I want to say what happen to me. I am a longliner for years and we all have tax problems always. It kind of goes with the bsuiness. Well, I got audited for 2004-2006 cause they was good years and even though its hard work the IRS agents dont count none of your expenses. I called tax masters--good thing too. IRS audit claimed I owed the IRS $28,063. I don't even make that much in a bad year. Well, the tax masters took care of that auditor. Fixed my IRS audit help big time. The IRS said I only owed $546. Hell, I send the check that day! Done.
