Tex Inn

There was a bad storm coming along and we decided to stay in a hotel near our house. We considered this hotel, but it looked the same as it did 15 years ago! All hotels in this area are conveniently located by Wal-Mart, Taco Bell, and EZmart. I would recommend paying a little bit more and staying at the Holiday Inn.

This was horrible! Paid 70 for a nasty room.. Smelled like dog urine, towel rack was falling off wall, toilet didnt flush, shower barely sprayed and no shampoo, just bars of soap. No Coffee available except breakfast hours, no staff to complain too other than the cleaning crew that barely spoke english. Do not throw your money away with this hotel...never will use this chain!!!!!!!!! Sign on front desk said you had 5 minutes from checkin to ask for refund but hotel staff would inspect room before considering the request...whats up with that???? This should be sign enough to walk back out the door!!! I booked online and was going to be charged for the room because I didn't cancel by time annotated....BEWARE OF TEX INN's NOT A QUALITY PLACE TO STAY

I was really disappointed. I paid $70 a night for a hotel that has no morning staff in the office, only a cleaning crew. Only has coffee during the continintal breakfast that stops at 9am. No coffee pot in room, shower had no spray to it what so ever. Bathroom was in need of repair and the room smelled of animal urine that they tried to cover up with carpet cleaner. A sign was posted you have 5 minutes to ask for a refund but room would be inspected before they considered giving you a refund. I booked this room from the internet and only had the pictures they displayed to go on, which was deceiving. I would NOT RECOMMEND this hotel ... I will give them the bed was comfortable, but again this was not worth my seventy dollars. No one to talk to upon checkout, office is locked up and cleaning crew was the only people available. Do not waste your money here.

I stayed at the Tex Inn, in Oct 2009 while traveling on business. I usually stay in Texarkana, but the road work there caused traffic back ups, and I just drove on. I pulled off to the Tex Inn on a whim because it was close to the interstate. The next day when I stopped for gas, I noticed that my money clip was missing. I had left it in the room along with some cash and valuable papers. Guess what, it was turned in by the cleaning staff with all the money intact. Not only that, but they refused to take a reward that I offered ! Honest people are a wonderful thing to find and I'll be staying here from now on. Great people and a nice place to stay.

dirty nasty and not cheap at unless $70 is your definition of that... The high point was the clean up lady waking us after driving all night...arrgh
