I have been going to The Car Connection for at least the past 6 years, and our family has them service all 4 vehicles (2 Fords, 1 Honda, 1 Toyota). We have had major repairs as well as preventive maintenance. The owners and their employees are terrific. I drive all the way from Burke, because they are reasonable, dependable and knowledgeable. I only felt compelled to review the shop after reading some of the reviews. Interestingly, I just had a bearing replaced by the Car Connection AFTER a tire store told me the front tires were making the noise. Guess what? It handles great and no more noise! Kevin told me the tires were in great shape. They never try to "pad" the bill with unnecessary services. On another note, I am not sure why one of the reviewers felt the need to bring up the owner's weight...not relevant and it speaks to his general disposition. By BSamec on January 24, 2012 at 08:05 AM
I've only had great experiences here. They've always done a great job fixing both my 98 Blazer and my 2000 Acura for the last two years. By Celeste Orwat on September 09, 2011 at 07:26 PM
Watch out here the owner is so qualified that he can kick the tire on a 6000lbs truck and tell you a wheel bearing is or isnt bad and with the owners weight about 250lbs. And after i showed him the dry rotted carrier bearing rubber he said its supposed to be like that. I didnt know ford sold dry rotted rubber to replace with. i wouldnt even give this place 1 star... To properly check for a bad wheel bearing you have to jack the vehicle up taking the weight of the vehicle off the wheels, and then from top to bottom grab the tire and push the top and bottom to feel play. This is something any QUALIFIED mechanic should know By Mike Morgan on September 15, 2010 at 02:58 PM
This place is a joke. I had a warranty so it was the only place i could take my car to. After coming back 5 times telling them what the problem was they finally said the same damn thing i had told them it was the transmission. The warranty was good for power train and has since run out. I find out now i have a rusted out oil pan and no warranty. They could have told me this when i still had the warrant so it would be covered. Now im looking at a 500-600$ fix. This place is a sham they dont know what there doing and you will have to bring your car back several times to even get a correct diagnosis honestly i dont even know if they went to school cause they are a bunch of idiots who cant find a simple problem with a car. There good for an oil change and tire change THATS IT any thing major forget it spend a little more money and go to a worthy experienced place thats not going to screw you over like these guys.
