Integrative medicine is not new. Thousands of years ago in ancient Egypt, the order of the day was the practice of multidimensional medicine. A variety of therapeutic modalities aimed at improving the patient’s health and relieving their suffering. Unfortunately today, not every patient has the opportunity to receive integrative medicine, which is the practice of integrating the best of ancient and modern remedies to bring the patient to optimal health. Many patients do not have access to integrative medicine because insurance companies restrict freedom of choice for medical care. You will remain ill with chronic diseases of which the ultimate causes have not been diagnosed, while conventional treatment of disease will only mask symptoms. Most patients will suffer poly-pharmacy syndrome, leading to secondary effects or combination effects of the drugs on their bodies, which will be treated, for the most part by other drugs. Multidimensional integrated medicine addresses the mind, body, spirit and energetics to create a cure. There are many tests that mainstream medicine does not routinely use, which are truly helpful in aiding the patient to get well. For example, it is my experience that many patients suffer from mineral and vitamin “D” deficiencies, heavy metal and environmental toxicity. For instance did you know that chronic headaches can be caused by magnesium deficiency? Drugs that deplete the body of minerals like potassium and magnesium can have a profound effect on health, leading to stroke, restless leg syndrome, cardiac problems and many other conditions. Our bodies have not changed for thousands of years and our livers, brains and all the organs have not increased in capacity to adjust to today’s polluted environment. We have the same body that we had thousands of years ago which was designed to detoxify our system that was at the time in an environment which was for the most part pure. This same environment is now saturated with thousands of toxins that are poisonous and carcinogenic to the liver, kidneys and all other organs. Autism is on the rise and we must not ignore it, these are our children and we must develop strategies to help them medically and spiritually. Be conscious of what we are injecting into their bodies which can have a profound effect on their underdeveloped brains and digestive systems. It makes sense that we must assess patients for toxicity and detoxification must be a part of our treatment plan. Let’s face it hospitals are full, and chronic diseases are increasing exponentially, cancers are now epidemic. We can no longer ignore the benefits of natural medicine which many generations of different people have experienced over the years with great benefits such as; ancestral nutrition, energy balancing, colon cleansing, detoxification, intravenous therapies.
