The McNutt House (Circa 1826/1832) is conveniently located on the History Walking Tour just minutes from the National Military Park, museums, casinos, eateries and Vicksburg's nightlife. It once was the home of Mississippi's 12th Governor, Alexander G. McNutt known best for his bitter fight for banking regulation and for signing legislation permitting women to own property. The complex of three buildings surrounds a stunning courtyard ideal for special events or simply sitting back and relaxing. Gazebos and charcoal grills becon guest use in hosting clients, business associates or to just enjoy a good self prepared steak. In addition to the main building multi-room suites the main floor serves host to meetings and special event for up to 35 persons at very competitive prices. The Magill House features efficiency suites, each with a kitchenette. A full kitchen is just steps away for ambitious meal preparation. Amenities include hair dryer, iron/ironing board, wireless internet, 200+ channel HD cable programming, flat screen TV and complimentary washer/dryer. 1-bedroom suites include kitchen with electric stove, refrigerator and microwave. Efficiencies include small refrigerator with crisper, microwave and toaster oven capable of preparing a variety of meals. All contain customary dishes and cookware. We also offer fully furnished and equipped 2-bedroom apartments at our Laughlin location. Each unit contains a washer, dryer and dishwasher. Simply unpack and stock the refrigerator, everything else is provided.
