We attended a wedding over the weekend and stopped in for dinner on the Friday before the big day. The food was great and the service was amazing! The owner is such a nice guy! We ended up back there for the party after the wedding... great food, great music and again amazing staff!! highly recommend it!! By Cheryl OHearn on February 07, 2011 at 11:20 AM
There was a rush prior to the holiday weekend, so we took a last minute chance at Nobska house, having not been here before.
The room was newly appointed and very tastefully decorated, including work from local artists.
I enjoyed Steak Tips, while my wife had Chicken Marsala, which both were delicious.
As an appetizer, we shared oysters and a stuffed portabella mushroom. Both were excellent.
Our server, Rose, was very attentive and the cocktails generous. There was a great
musician at the piano bar during our meal, which added to the experience. After reading the comment about the lack of TV's
I felt compelled to write our own review. The bar was full during our visit, and although I noticed two snall
TV's integrated above the bar, I mentioned to my spouse how the bar seemed designed to promote personal interaction - no 50 inch plasma with CNN or
some mundane sports event. I know no one related to this establishment, but wanted to give credit where due. By John & Bridget on September 05, 2010 at 03:50 PM

I would have given it a zero star if available. We went there on a week night, and granted they were busy but we waited 45 minutes
before a waitress came over to take our drink order. The owner was rude and could have cared less when we asked to see a waitress a half hour previous. The service and food was lousy. Will not go back again and will not recommend it. Would have walked out if not for the fact we were meeting some people there. By Nan on August 10, 2010 at 04:50 AM
We had dinner at the Nobska House Rest. tonight and we enjoyed the whole experience. We saw people with sandals and a couple with suits. The menu choices and prices will fit anyone's needs. Ken, the owner, has some excellent restaurant experience and we are happy to see him in his own place. Great job, Ken!! We were happy with the food, service and atmosphere. I dined at The Nobska House on Memorial day weekend. We were very pleased. The food was excellent, and affordable. I was surprised to see chicken kiev on the menu, its one of my favorites! I liked the atmosphere, everyone chatting it up and the piano player in the background. There was some life to the place....so if you want to hear a pin drop, you're better off going to the place next door! By mjane on June 17, 2010 at 06:19 AM
Fresh, bright look inside but lunch was a disaster...wrong meal presented initially (plus the burger/fries were cold) and service was not with a smile. 2nd meal came out but food was lukewarm...the place wasn't busy either. Not an auspicious start. By Capesandsun on April 29, 2010 at 12:35 PM
Warm and comfortable atmosphere.
Waitstaff is attentive and friendly.
Food was very good and fresh.
Prices are reasonable.
Will definitely eat at The Nobska House again. By Anonymous on April 25, 2010 at 02:14 PM

My wife and I just made it to your place before the kitchen closed. What a treat both the steamers and the mussels were excellent. I wish I had time to eat the 2 side dishes but I was so into the clams I could not stop until my wife and I swapped entries. You made us both very happy people. Also our waitress was a delight too. I do not know her name but she was an attractive young woman who had worked as a school teacher in Newport RI. Thanks again!
