We order from a variety of sources and carry holistic animal food, supplies and have an in-house herbalist for custom requests. *************************************************************************** What we have chosen not to sell : livestock feed Why : the cost of corn and other grains The effect : with fewer farmers buying affordable grains and raising less for market - relying on their stock for their own table - the domino effect will be seen in metro-area supermarkets. The reality : the price of gas may go down, but so has the supply of "food" causing a market premium. This domino has been in place for nearly two years in rural areas and will remain until crops (livestock being longest to recover) for a long time. Think about it - a cow does not birth overnight a full grown meat calf - this takes time . . . and money. The previous comments were made so that already struggling budgets can prepare for an extended time. Unless you understand farming, this is a concept that escapes most people. With great concern and care for those hard hit by their grocery bill - please - plan and prepare for a full season of economic recovery ! Pray for the American small farmer . . .he struggles before you do and when you do !
