The new owner has really turned this restaurant into a family favorite. The restaurant has a "Cheers" like atmosphere. The lasagna and grouper Florentine are the best I have ever eaten. And the kids always rave about the burgers and pizza. My husband and I never have a problem picking out a tasty Italian wine. The Chianti selection is great! the worst rest. in southwest florida. Proprietor is irrational. Food is suspect and other than Dan and Vickey bar tenders are in it ONLY for tips............. By joe sheridan on March 03, 2011 at 08:23 PM
This is the best restaurant in Englewood Florida. My wife and I enjoy the the great food, friends and drinks. The owners are always on hand and Mingle with their customers. Some times Jack tells some Cornie Jokes but you will just have to deal with that, but It worth it. Stop in and meet all the friendly people and I guarantee will will become a regular. $$EA YA ED.................. By popuped on February 27, 2011 at 05:35 PM
Will never forget the nightmare of this restaurant. 1. waited for ever to get the drinks, when they did come my husbands drink was wrong and told me the house wine I had ordered was not a house wine. 2. more waiting, the starter we ordered is no longer on the menu. Would have been nice if you had told us that 20 minutes ago. 3. more waiting, salads have arrived, but it will be awhile before we finally receive the cold breadsticks. 4.Someone comes and tells us they do not have the steak my husband has ordered should have been taken off the menu, but wasn't. 5. Would we like to reorder, another 30 minute wait. Food finally arrives, oh, but not all the food. I have another 10 minutes before my lasagna arrives. ^ So sorry folks, your waitress is not really a server she is the tosses and she is being fired in the back as we speak. May we buy you dessert. My husband orders Italian rum cake, 20 minutes later someone comes from the kitchen & tells us we don't have that. Dining from Hell By D Worthington on January 12, 2011 at 09:24 PM
We loved the service and the food! The restaurant has extremely nice atmosphere, little Italian man going to everyone's table singing Italian songs and playing an accordion. We also met the couple that owns the restaurant wow they bent over backwards to please us, even a free after dinner drink. The owners made us feel so welcome like we had been there many times. This was our first time and we will be back many more. Thank You Trattoria 13 By George Hemp on May 15, 2010 at 09:41 AM
The waitress spilled my fiance's left over shells and cheese on him and then asked him if he wanted the shells that were lying on the seat. After that the service continued to spiral. After asking for soda water to clean the sauce from his white dress shirt no apology was made and we were left to stare at a pile of dishes that were left on the table. Instead of asking us if we wanted coffee and desert she put the bill on the table and walked away. While we were waiting for her to return so we COULD order desert both the owners Babette and Jack walked by and served other patrons without stopping by to apologize for the whole incident. After receiving our desert I kindly pulled the manager aside to let him know what had happened and the response was very argumentative. They began asking âWhat do you want from us?â even though we made it very clear that we didnât want anything but an apolog By Christine Knight on March 03, 2010 at 07:27 PM
