Wesley Tabernacle United Methodist Church

Like other Galveston churches with an aging population and saddled still with attempts to fully recover from Hurricane Ike, Wesley needs not only the support of its members but also from the community. While its Saturday morning breakfasts attract numerous people from various segments of the community, few return to participate in the weekly Sunday services. Other mid-week services the church provides present a challenge for growth in membership. Most important, a change from a patently traditional Sunday worship service to a more modern order of worship would be in the best interest of the pastor and members.
