I am a multi-media artist. I have been doing some kind of art most of my life. My inspiration for the art comes from the beauty I see in nature and things in life. My newest projects are created by using several different computer programs, two of which are 3D programs. I have been creating Fantasy picture that are Fairies the way I see them. I have many of the pictures posted in my Zazzle Gallery at http://www.zazzle.com/whiteoak50 I do not publish them all on line because I have several different projects that I am working on. Currently I have some of my fantasy art display at the Georgia Heritage Center in Tallulah Falls, Georgia for a theme art show they are doing. I will soon be submitting some of my artwork to be in the Georgia National Fair Art Exhibit located in Perry, Georgia. This is a huge fair that is held every year. Last year their attendance was well over 350,000 guests and between 2000-4000 artists had their work displayed. The work I usually display in Galleries and Shows I do not post on line. The artworks I do have for sell on line are all considered prints. When I sell the originals they are processed by a completely different procedure. I send the artwork to a professional printer and have the picture printed on Metallic paper and the size increased to 16 by 20. I decided to sell my original artwork like this because by using the metallic paper and increasing the size the way I do, brings the Fairies to life. I sell many different items at my store including, candles, candles holders, cauldrons, herbs, fairy statues, anointing oils and so much more. I have been slowing but surely building stock for the upcoming holidays. I know it is hard to think of Holiday shopping with the economy the way it is and it being the middle of summer, but when you run a business you have to start a few months early. One of the biggest items I have been trying to stock up on is black candles, white candles and orange candles. I was not able to order any black chime candles until June 14th so I decided to go ahead and order black tapers because I did not want my customers to have to do without them. The difference between chime candles and tapers is the chime candles burn for approximately 2 hours and the tapers burn for 5 hours. Halloween/Samhain is not that fall away! I have also added some of the prettiest fairy statues in the store. They will make great gifts for the holidays at a very good price. I still have some of my handmade Inspirational Faeries for sell. Each of them comes with their own message and the date they were created. The faeries measure out to be approximately 8 1/2" by 11" and are made from cloth, glitter, ribbon, wire, batting and polymer clay. I have several designs, some of them hang from ribbon or hemp string some lay down on a pillow I make and I have some that are on doll stands.
