I bought a new car here in 8/09 - cash for clunkers deal. Salesman put zero effort into sale. I live some distance away and asked that I be called when car would be ready for p/u, I had been assured by salesperson that it would be completely gone through. When I arrived it was clear that the car hadn't been touched. The paint was full of spots and stains from from sitting in the lot, the interior was stained, etc. I was informed that they sell hundreds of cars and can't clean them all. Back the next day, car was ready except for a stained carpet that was cleary a warranty issue. When I refused to sign off on their "interior OK " checklist, the sales manager asked if I was always this difficult. There's more, but you get the idea. I bought here because they happened to have the car I wanted at the right price due to factory incentives. Don't do it unless you are ready for an uphill battle.

Go ANYWHERE but here. They have a Service Manager who lies to customers in attempts to obtain more money for repairs then is necessary, technicians who damage cars while trying to repair them and a manager who defends the actions of the employees, regardless of the imapct it has on customer relations and satisfaction. We will NEVER go back to that dealership again for anything. We will travel the 50 miles to Northstar Chevrolet in Clifton Park, NY for our sales and service needs. Whiteman Chevrolet is trouble all the way around!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!
