I was directed to Mark to have my bedroom door designed and built by other professionals in the field. Mark was able to take my concept of a tree and turn it into an art piece that I have enjoyed for many years. I was so impressed with his skill and personal ethics that I hired him to do woodwork throughout my loft. My advice? If you have an opportunity to work with this man, take it. He is one of a kind - a conceptual artist with meticulous carpentry skills and the ability to juggle subcontractors, stressed clients and hectic time schedules with grace and patience.

My old door fit poorly, had cracks in the wood, and let in the cold air. I really had to get a new door! As my hallway was dark, I wanted a door with glass, but that still offered privacy. And since my dog, Huey, loved to lie in front of the door listening for people and other dogs outside, a very important factor was that he be able to see out. After discovering that the only doors with glass in them were boring, ugly or otherwise wrong, I looked for someone who could make a beautiful and artistic custom door for me. This is important because I'm an artist and people come to my home to visit my studio and buy paintings. Finding a custom door company was not an easy task! After much searching I finally found Willow Door through an architect's recommendation. I had a design in mind, and they executed it perfectly. ...detract from the design. The end result is beautiful! I get so many compliments on the door. It combines frosted and clear glass so there's beauty, light and privacy. I knew my dog Huey would love having his special front window on the world, but to my surprise both cats, Brando and Zsa Zsa, also sit in front of the door to see people coming and dogs walking by!
