In Oklahoma City, OK, Alan Geiger had been running a profitable business for the last 18 years, but decided to start a new business anyway. Alan noticed a void in being able to find reliable auto service in local areas on cell phones. As the owner of Glass Aid, he had more than a working knowledge of the auto services industry and as a member of MerchantCircle - he knew where to go to start promoting On Cell Auto.
"Right now, my On Cell Auto MerchantCircle listing is generating more than 400 page views a month," says Alan. "I knew with my Glass Aid listing that MerchantCircle was bringing me new customers, helping me establish contacts, and promote my business across the web."
With Glass Aid, Alan attracts customers around Oklahoma City. With On Cell Auto, he's aiming for a national market defined by the cell phone user's local area. Alan still spends a good portion of his budget on print Yellow Pages, but says the performance isn't close to what it used to be.
"I don't see as many customers coming in through the Yellow Pages. It's still there, but the majority of my customers come in after finding me on the internet. Plus, you get more bang for the buck online."
