In La Grande, OR, Grande Ronde Fitness Club has made some major changes. Starting with a revamped marketing strategy, Grande Ronde decided to pull all of their advertising dollars away from print advertising.
"We just weren't seeing any return on investment," says Cory Sudbrock, Grande Ronde's membership coordinator. "We'd put an ad in the paper and no one would come in. We did the same on the internet through MerchantCircle and we'd see 20-30 customers come in."
For a town of just over 12,000 people, 20 - 30 new customers was not an easy task. Cory, who was a Marketing and Management major in college and is also the owner's grandson, decided that the internet was where more and more people were starting to search for their services. His thinking, literally, paid off and he will continue to focus his efforts online with the help of MerchantCircle.
