Eclectic is a part of the Montgomery/Wetumpka region/metro area known for its Watching Angel. Major attractions include the Veteran's Memorial Wall and the old Central High School. Each year in the summer season there is the Annual Cotton Festival. Among the biggest companies in Eclectic are Hercules Bags and Madix. The biggest schools here are Elmore County High School and Eclectic Elementary School. One of the best places to visit when you are in Eclectic is Pleasant Grove Cemetery where the Watching Angel is located. The Watching Angel is an almost six feet tall marble bride affixed to the early 1900s headstone of Alonzo M. Cryer. Famous persons from Eclectic include: Ben Grubbs of the Baltimore Ravens.
