Academy At Riverdale
Don't make the same mistake I did
I will never use there business for therapy again. I wanted my child to receive therapy thru the summer months I took these people almost three months to get things moving & in the end my son received abt 2wks of full therapy after I contacted his doctor & got the paperwork done for myself. The therapist are very good but the administration office is garbage. Don't waste your time with these people.... more

Quality and Standards - right...
The high turnover has nothing to do with quality and standards. I doubt the director has ever been in a classroom. No curriculum guides, structure, or review system so how would they make "quality" decisions? They can't keep people because they are horrid to work for.... more

Lets Discuss Turnover.....
I have also worked in public schools and at The Academy at Riverdale. I keep reading about the high turnover... First, education has high turnover, period. Especially within the field of special education. Second, in a public school most students get a new teacher every nine months. Third, I would be curious to know if anyone posting negativity regarding turnover realizes if someone has left, they probably couldn't "hack it" in a rigorous environment that expects excellence of its staff and students? Finally, I hope all the readers of these reviews have noticed the negative things posted are never about the kids. No one is posting about people not being devoted to students. These kids are getting everything public schools can't/don't offer, top notch, data driven educational planning with quality therapy. I left my employment there peacefully, and am now back helping out when I can. I am so proud to be a part of their team. One thing is constant there, devotion to students!!!... more
