Along the same line of thinking as Willow Gates, some municipalities and local landfills offer "free" mulch. Some of this material may be composted sludge from a waster water treatment facility. Personally, I have never used sewage compost for some of the obvious reasons. If you have horticulture in the area, ranchers may offer free organic manure from their livestock. This material is typically full of weed seeds. We have mushroom farms in our local area and they process 5-6 tons of compost per week. This compost is given away for free, to prevent the facility from drowning in the stuff. Research you local area on the Web for organic compost. Good luck!

Everyone at Joseph's is so nice! The atmosphere is great, beautiful place. You feel like you are in a different world. The "wash room" (where they was your hair) is m personal favorite. They have a huge waterfall on the wall and it is like paradise. Joseph is a hoot and the other staff members always compliment you on something! Mid-South Surprise
Just had a door replaced that the builder messed up when they built my house. I want to say Big River was very professional. We have 2 garage doors and they were able to match the other door exactly and the door operates smoother than my original. Price was right in line with what I expected to pay. Since moving to the Mid- South I have not been impressed with the level of service from companies here. They normally take forever to come out or forget about you completely. However, Big River has given me hope that there are still some businesses that care about the customer.... more
