Yes, each resume should be geared towards the specific industry. Employers want to see a focused resume and not merely a random list of accomplishments.

Every sales person knows the specifics of their product and this is what they are marketing. When purchasing a washing machine, you would want to hear the specific features of this particular item and not have the sales person begin to offer features of the dryer that is nearby.

Both appliances serve basically the same purpose to clean and dry clothing. Once the sales person began to speak about the dryer you would lose interest in listening any further.

The same is true regarding how important it is to have a focused resume. Employers have many methods for eliminating resumes and lacking a focus would be just one of them.

To customize a resume you would want to research what employers are looking for. Do you have the needed qualifications? If not, you may want to take steps to ensure that you meet and exceed the employer's expectation level.

You would always want to include relevant information pertaining to work experience, education, and skill sets to name a few.
