This obviously depends on your specific business but I would suggest offering new products/services to your existing client base. Staying in contact with them will ensure the customer retention as well as giving you additional income streams/diversity with the new products. Obviously keeping in your field of specialty (Example: I own a computer consulting company and a few extra services I've put in place over the last couple years are remote data backup, website & hosting services) See if you get too far away from your core business it'll only water down your credibility. My reasoning is because it's alot easier/cheaper to market to your existing client base. If you have a large marketing budget I'd say going for new clients as well would be a good idea.

Cost cutting is always a good idea as well. We frequently get wrapped up in business and need to take a step back to look at what can be cut without affecting clients.
