Winterization is one commonly over looked, making sure your heater core and radiator are flushed and have the proper ratio of Antifreeze can and will prolong the life of expensive components on the vehicle. (ie radiator,hoses,pumps,heater). Also you should have drive belts and tensioners inspected with each oil change as well as the possibility of any leaks, especially from the oil pan. Tune ups should only need to be done every 50,000 miles. I dont reccomend utilizing quick lube centers as they are NOT mechanics. A local reputable garage is your best bet and although it may take a few minutes longer the efficinecy is worth it! I hope this helps.
