A Little History of Paso Robles: Paso Robles original claim to fame almost 100 years ago was Hollywood's elite who would frequent the city's natural hot springs. Some of these original springs are still in use today! Decades later, Paso Robles became one of the largest domestic suppliers for walnuts/almonds. There are still many hills in the Paso Robles countrysides dotted with the remnants of these nut trees. The latest boom for Paso Robles has been the explosion of wine producers & vineyards. What started out as less a handful of wineries a decade ago has now expanded to over 200 wineries in Paso Robles.
