Pet sitter qualifications

How can I ensure that a pet sitter will take good care of my pet? What kind of license or insurance do pet sitters typically have?

The Pooch Granny Pet Sitting & Grooming image Answered by The Pooch Granny Pet Sitting & Grooming

There are a lot of people running ads for pet sitting jobs looking to make a quick buck by taking care of your babies these days, especially pet sitting. I even saw one on craigslist saying i have groomed my own dog this many yrs. let me groom yours cheaper than others...etc.
The difference between a pet care provider that is a Professional and not.. is the investment they have put in to what they do! It does not mean they do not love what they do, but that it means enough to go the extra mile.
So when looking for a "Professional" Pet Care Provider whether a pet sitter, doggie day care, groomer, etc. I think you should keep a few of these questions in mind when having someone take care of your little furry loved ones besides just living animals.
1. Are they Bonded and Insured? And with whom?
This protects you, your home and your pet.
2 Are they a member of a Professional Group related to their field and are they CERTIFIED? These groups are very informative and help your pet care taker keep up with news in the pet field and offers support and to help the sitter acquire knowledge from their magazines, websites, webinars and seminars they offer yearly. One that is certified has gone the extra mile in their eduction on pets and all animals, including emergency situations.
3. Do they have references from past clients and business associates you can contact?
4. Do they expect a copy of your rabies/bordelleta records that are up to date? (You don't know what other pets may be in their care! Germs can be passed from one client to another via their clothes etc. Hopefully the sitter is washing their hands with germicidal soap.)
5. Do they provide a safe place when they are out of their home, when needed? ( ex: Day Care situation)
6. Are they CPR and First Aid certified in case of an accident? Knowledge of what to do in an emergency.
7. Do they have a safe fenced in yard for outside play and/or potty breaks? (ex: Day Care situation)
8. Do they have a back up plan in case of an Emergency...like if they got sick or in an accident and cannot care for your pet?
9. Whose going to be their back up person? Is that person also bonded and insured under them?
A "Professional" Pet Care provider has gone the extra mile and may be a tad more than the others, but they have invested in themselves and their business, in you and your pet and it will be worth it! Isn't your pet worth it??? Professional Pet Care providers believe you and your pet are!

Can the interest rate on an item be negotiated?

If someone is buying a car can the interest rate be negotiated? What are the conditions in which rates will be lower?

FK Capital Fund Inc. image Answered by FK Capital Fund Inc.

The interest rate can be negotiated on a car, but it tends to be very difficult.

When you purchase a car, the car dealer will normally apply for you to many different car lenders out there. They all come back with a quote of some sort (or denial), the car dealer will choose the best one for you and present that to you.

When salesman think you're going to walk, they try and do what they can, most of the time, it is lowering the price to match your payment needs, trying to get the interest rate down, etc. They seem to be able to do a lot so play hardball, but it's a fine line. They don't want you to walk. Statistically, if you test drive a car, you're going to buy a car, whether from them or someone else, they're going to do everything they can for you to buy it from them.

The other way to do it is to talk to your bank or to a bank where you can apply and there is some negotiation there, but not much.
